Ch.3 Feelings

"Josh?" Maya said surprised "Lucas?"

"Hey..." they both said awkwardly.

"What are you guys doing here?"

"You guys got an invitation?" one of the college guys asked.

"Not really" Josh said.

"Then whoa you guys can't be here!"

"No kidding" Maya said as she got up and went to them "What were you guys thinking? You have to go now."

"I'm sorry Maya" Josh said "This was a bad idea, we'll go."

"Hold on" one of the college girls went up to him "Are you Josh?"

"Yeah."

"Maya's told us all about you."

"She has?" he said surprised.

"Yeah, she couldn't stop talking about you."

Josh turned to Maya who had on a small smile.

"So tell me Josh" the girl said "Why did you come here?"

Josh hesitated as he turned to Lucas.

"Do you want me to tell them everything?" Lucas asked.

"Maybe some parts" he said nervously.

"Fine" Lucas said as he turned to the students "Even though he wasn't invited, Josh came here anyway for Maya, because that's how much he likes her."

"Really?" Maya said surprised.

"Wait" one of the guys said as he turned to Maya "You said he was 3 years older than you."

"I did" Maya said.

"And even though it's true" Josh put in "I still really like her."

He then turned to Maya who gave him a small smile.

"And what about you?" a girl pointed to Lucas.

"Oh I'm just here to get him out of trouble" he said.

But at that point the Knicks guys appeared.

"Lucas!" Kyle said "It's time for prank of the day!"

"Oo what are we doing?" Lucas asked with a smile.

"We're gonna pie the headmaster!"

Lucas then turned to Josh.

"Sorry man" he said "You're on your own."

And with that he and the Knicks guys cheered as they went away.

"Bring him back" Maya ordered with a bored look as she went after them.

"So Josh" one of the guys said as they all sat on a bed "Tell us, what do you see in Maya?"

"How long have you liked her?" another guy asked.

"Well" he sighed "For starters, she liked me first, but I wasn't interested. In fact, last year she did the same thing I'm doing now, she snuck out and came here to see me when I was visiting here, that was how much she liked me."

"But now you're doing it" the first guy said.

"I know."

"So how did your feelings change?"

"Well, about a month ago, we both talked about our relationship, and about our age difference. But when we talked, I realized that I did have feelings for her."
