They didn't talk over the weekend, Louis confused the whole time with what he possibly could of done for the French boy to freak out and run away like that. He was hoping he could go and talk to him at school or something, but the chances of Harry actually staying and not walking away were very slim. Louis just wished that he knew what was up so he could talk him through it. But for now, he was stuck with hopelessly spamming him with text messages.
The blue eyed boy was walking through the halls, eyes roaming around every single one of peoples faces in hopes to recognize one. Louis sighed, his body slumping slightly in devastation when he doesn't see Harry after five minutes of looking. He leans against the cold, metal lockers and shoves his hand into his pockets, jaw clenching and thinking to himself.
Suddenly, he sees a flash of shiny curls through the corner of his eye and his head snaps up so quickly he swears it could give someone a whiplash. There he was, standing tall in his signature skinny jeans and brown boots that Louis adored. The British lad smiled slightly, pushing himself off the locker and weaving his way through the somewhat thick crowd to make his way over towards Harry.
When he got there he tapped the boys shoulder, watching in what seemed to be slow motion as he turned around, his curls swaying ever so slightly. "Hi." Louis breathed out shakily, Harry's face holding no emotion as he looked him over. The French boy opens his mouth to say something, but then shuts it quickly and walks around Louis, leaving him standing alone by his locker like a fool.
Louis is about to follow after Harry until a loud voice from the intercom practically booms over the loud students roaming in the hall. "Louis Tomlinson, please report to your deans office, Louis Tomlinson, please report to your deans office." he instantly frowns at that, wondering what the hell he could've done to be sent to the office.
He doesn't question it though, just huffs in annoyance and starts making his way through the busy halls. As he's walking, he wonders where the hell Harry could have gone with all of these people in the way. Louis lets out a sigh when he finally reaches his destination after about four minutes. The office is pretty empty, other than a couple of guys sitting down on the bench outside of the principles office for probably causing some sort of ruckus.
"Ah, Louis, there you are!" Ms. Mana exclaims as she pops out of her little office space that was towards the entrance. The blue eyed boy tilts his head and gives her a dazzling smile, his wrist flickering ever so slightly as if saying hi. "Okay, so, why don't you come in my office, yeah?" she points behind her, grabbing the student by the wrist and leading him inside.
Louis is about to comment on something until his eyes land on someone unfamiliar. It was a boy. He had brown hair and eyes that matched, his body slightly hunching from where he was sitting on one of the chairs Ms. Mana provided in her small office space. He had never seen this guy before in his life. If he had, he's pretty sure he would've remembered a lad like this. "What's . . . what's going on?" Louis asks slowly, almost cautiously.
"Well, this is the new student, Cole Sprouse. Cole, this is Louis Tomlinson." The dean introduces them to each other. She motions towards a seat so Louis can sit down, so the blue eyed boy happily sits down right next to the stranger. "So, Louis, since you did so well with Harry on his first day and even became friends with him . . . we want you to show Cole around the school and take him to his classes." she explains with a hopeful but uneasy smile.
"Of course I'll do it."
Ms. Mana was afraid that Louis was going to say no and she would have to chose someone else that was probably not going to put much effort into showing Cole everything. "Great," she starts, smiling, "You should probably start showing him around right now because first classes are about to start - and don't worry, I'm going to give your classes excuses as to why you're not there on time." she explains as she hands the blue eyed boy Cole's class sheet.
Louis looks down at the paper in his hand and looks over it for a moment, finding out that they have Drama together. He clears his throat and jabs his thumb behind him to point to the door, "Let's go, Cole." The new student stands up and Louis immediately sees that he's taller than him by a couple inches, cursing to himself because this guy had to be at least 6 feet tall.
They walk out of the office and start walking down the halls, everybody turning their heads to try and figure who this new guy was. Louis can hear Cole cough quietly before he speaks up, "Hey man, I just want to say thanks for showing me around." The brown eyes boy fiddles with the strap of his backpack that was only hanging from one shoulder. Louis likes this guy so far, very fortunate that he wasn't some quiet lad because that always makes him awkward.
"It's fine, I'm happy to," Louis suddenly stops in front of the boy's bathroom, motioning towards it so Cole can see, "this is the loo, there are two other bathroom's for us; one upstairs and one downstairs . . . I think you'll be able to find them easily." The taller lad just nods, smirking slightly when one of the girls in a little huddle not too far from them shoots him a wink.
Louis is about to move on to the next thing when he sees a flash of green eyes, instantly recognizing it to be his boyfriend who was ignoring him. "Harry, wait!" he yells loudly, causing Cole to jump back slightly at the noise. Harry spots Louis from where he was, his eyes widening and he instantly scurries away before Louis could even step foot towards him. "God dammit." Louis mutters, knowing he can't case after him because he's supposed to be showing Cole around.
"Who was that?" Cole inquires, looking back to try and see his face once again but he's already long gone.
Louis shakes his head and runs a hand through his hair, "That was . . . my boyfriend, Harry." he holds a breath as Cole stays silent, waiting for him to say something rude. But instead, the boy only smiles (genuinely) and nods his head. The blue eyed boy instantly relaxes and lets out a large sigh. "But, anyways, if we continue to walk down this hallways we will get to your first class which is . . ." he trails off as he looks down at his sheet again, "English."
They walk down the hall and finally make a stop in front of Cole's first class. "You know, I just want to thank you again for doing all of this. I was a little scared when my mother said we were moving to the U.K because of a job placement, but I think I'll like it a lot here." Cole admits, his arms widening and pulling Louis into an unexpected hug. "Thanks a lot, man."
And Harry was across the hall, heart breaking at the sight of his boyfriend hugging someone else.
