He was walking into the school with bags under his eyes from trying to call Harry all night, hoodie and sweatpants on since he had no energy to make himself look good today. Louis clearly remembers the look on Harry's face when he saw Cole behind him, and it hurts his heart. He looked shocked and betrayed, swearing that he saw some tears slip out of his eyes before he ran away. Louis realizes how bad it all must've looked, but he still doesn't know why Harry was avoiding him in the first place.

He remembers why Cole came over his house; to watch Footie with him. Apparently, he really liked the sport to and wanted someone to watch it with, and of course Louis is going to say yes.

The first bell rings, and it echoes through his ears loudly, causing him to wince. He rubs at his temples before opening his locker and stuffing his backpack in, taking out a bottle of water that he brought and a book for his first hour. "Hey, man, any luck with Harry?" he jumps slightly at that, turning around quickly and seeing Cole with a confused expression. Louis closes his eyes and sighs, shutting his locker and beckoning for Cole to walk with him.

"I tried to call and text him all night, but he would either just ignore me or tell me to stop calling him. I barely got any sleep because of it . . . just staying up and worrying if he actually didn't think that we were . . . hooking up, I guess." Just saying those words made him swallow hard, his Adam's apple moving as a slight gulping noise was made. Cole purses his lips and nods, hands on the straps of his backpack as he looks down at the floor as if it was the most interesting thing in the world.

Louis is about to walk away until Cole holds his hand out, a little laugh erupting from him before he bites his lower lip. "I'm sorry, this would've never happened if I hadn't came over your house. I should've known to stay away until things between you guys settled, because I know this involves me somehow." he explains, shaking his head.

"Honestly, It's not your fault. He was ignoring me before you even came into the picture. I mean, sure, maybe you did add a little fuel to the fire but you didn't do it intentionally. I just have to figure out why he isn't talking to me —other than the fact that I hang out with you and he sees you as a threat." Louis watches as Cole's eyebrows furrow, head tilting to the side as if asking 'what?'. "A threat to our relationship, I mean." Louis pats him on the shoulder.

Cole nods his head slowly, breathing out in relief. Louis was his first friend here and he did not want to lose him that quickly. "I, uhm, saw Harry by his locker just a minute ago. I think you could catch up to him if you went right now." he tells Louis with a knowing look on his face, gently nudging him on the side. Louis laughs and gives him a thumbs up before turning around and making his way down the filled hallways.

He stops in his tracks when he sees Harry, certain that he looks like a fool in love right now because — he looked so beautiful. He had his signature black jeans on with a pink, polka dotted button up that made it seem like he was Minnie Mouse. Louis lets out a shaky breath and rubs his sweaty palms on his own jeans, continuing to walk up to the French boy.

"Hi, Harry." he mumbles softly, but loud enough for the boy to hear. Harry's head whips up quickly, his eyes narrowed as he starts walking away. "Don't even leave. What are you accomplishing by not talking to me? Becoming more sad and angry?" he calls after him, making Harry stop dead in his tracks. Louis smiles slightly when he sees Harry walk back towards him, closing his locker that he would've let open if he had actually walked away. Harry looks at him for a while, no emotion on his face but still managing to look pretty.

"Come to me house after school."

Louis gulps and nods, licking his lips to stop from grinning. They would finally be able to talk about what happened, and Louis' grateful. He didn't want to live in the dark anymore. He watches as Harry walks away with his arms around his books, weaving his way through the crowd with ease. He was an angel. An angel that he would never take for granted. Harry was his angel.

Louis starts walking back to his class with his water bottle in one hand and book under his armpit, mind swarming in ways he could explain to Harry why Cole was at his house. He doesn't know why he's so worried about this — it's not like he actually hooked up with Cole. No. He would never do that. Even if Harry wasn't his boyfriend, he doesn't think he would. Of course the American boy is attractive, but he's just not Louis' type.

Louis entered his classroom and let out a breath of relief when he saw that they had a substitute. Some people gave him a weird look when he came in, probably confused as to why he had such dark bags under his eyes. But, Louis ignores them, making his way towards his assigned seat in the middle of the classroom, sighing when he sits down. The substitute turns around from the board, flashing a big smile before she clears her throat to get everybody's attention. "All right, class, let's get started . . ."

School ended and the hallways were crowded as usual. Football guys hollering with girls by their side, teachers standing outside of their classrooms to say goodbye to the students when none of them even cared. He couldn't see Harry anywhere — which wasn't a surprise because nobody could ever really find their friends at the end of the day. Louis walks out of the school, making his way towards his car.

Harry was probably almost home, considering his mother picks him up most of the days. So, he decides to head straight to his house instead of stopping at his own for a while. The ride is about ten minutes, not that far, and it also gives him enough time to think. After a while of being in the car with his hands gripping the wheel tightly, he finally parks in the driveway of Harry's house, inhaling a sharp breath.

He gets out of the vehicle, biting his lower lip out of habit as he runs a hand through his hair. Louis makes his way up the steps, knocking on the door three times. He waits. He doesn't hear anybody inside. Louis knocks again, this time louder, sighing when he hears footsteps make their way towards the door. Suddenly, it swings open,

"Hi."
