Letters to Anne

Anne

today is the day.

"levi i dont know if i can do this." i was in tears while levi was cuddling me on his bed.

"you will have to face everyone sometime, i think its a good time too." he gave me a sad smile.

"im not going to lie to you and say everything is going to be fine. its not. people are going to spread rumors and be mean. but i will be with you the whole time. rumors will settle down after a few days." he tilted my chin where i was looking at him.

he cuddled me to his chest one last time before i went to go get ready.

i grabbed my clothes and makeup i brought over and put it all on.

i put my hair in a ponytail and put my glasses on.

i look ridiculous.

i take my glasses off and take all of my makeup off.

i put a thin layer of mascara on so i have look like a little bit of eye lash.

i pull my apple flavor chapstick out of my bag and put some on.

i look in the mirror.

eh, i dont look terrible.

i feel more comfortable in my own skin when i wear less makeup.

i walk out of the bathroom and down stairs to where levi is sitting on the couch on his phone.

he looks up and smiles.

"you ready love?" he stands up and grabs an apple for the both of us.

i nod.

"we can stop my starbucks on the way there!" he squeals throwing his hands up.

i just laugh and grab my backpack.

we stopped at starbucks and got drinks.

i got a cotton candy frappe.

we were in the school parking lot and levi is giving me a pep talk.

"you've got this anne! you can do it! dont let anyone get you down today!" i said while looking me in the eye and squishing my face.

i giggled and blushed.

"let's go!" he yelled grabbing my hand.

as we walked to the front door i could feel the anxiety coming on.

i felt like i was suffocating.

i stopped walking and looked down.

i could feel the tears forming.

levi pulled me in a tight hug.

"you can do this princess. i believe in you." he whispered my ear.

i felt my legs go weak at the fact that he called me princess.

i wiped my eyes and took a deep breath.

he held my hand as we walked into the school.

as soon as we walked in it got quiet.

everyone was looking at us and our hands.

josh started laughing.

"hey attention whore! how are you and your boyfriend?" he laughed.

i just looked down and mumbled 'he's not my boyfriend.'

"back off josh. she never did anything to you." levi spoke with a stern voice looking him in the eye.

"and what are you gonna do to me lover boy?" he started walking over to us.

"you dont want to know. you know what im capable of." levi had a cold look on his face.

i would be lying if i said i wasn't scared of levi in this moment.

"try me." josh smirked.

levi went to hit josh but i pulled him back.

i spun around the front of levi and hugged him.

"please dont do this, he's not worth it. i need you here you cant get suspended." i whispered in his ear.

i felt his body relax and he hugged me back.

i turned around to look at josh.

"get out of our way." i gave him a cold stare.

"what are you going to do little girl?" he looked at me like i was a baby.

i slapped him right across the face.

"now i suggest you get out of our way or i will  let levi get you next time." i snarled.

he stood looking shocked that i slapped him.

levi started laughing as we walked away.

"you just hit josh. i can't breathe that was the funniest thing i have ever seen!" he laughed.

"shut up!" i laughed and shoved him.

levi and i just walked to our lockers and right on to class without any problems from josh.
