Chapter 4: Machines, Powers, and What?!

"Get the machine on!" Voices. That's all I could hear. Sight wise I saw nothing but black, pitch black. My whole body hurt, but it was mainly my stomach. It was if a thousand swords were impaled into my abdomen at the same time, and then once inside pieces of metal came off and lodged deep within my organs.

"Kanda what happened in the training hall?" Yelled a frantic Komui. There was many sounds of machinery beeping, people moving, and other voices calling for things here and there.

"He was just training with Crown Clown in one moment, and in the next this happened!" Kanda growled back. His voice seemed to loom from over my body. Was he carrying me?

"His skin is turning into a Noahs Kanda. How does that just happen out of the blue!?"

"I don't fucking know!" Kanda snapped back. "Just fix him, can't you see he's in pain?"

"I can see that Kanda, we're working on it-"

"On what?" Next I heard were heavy footsteps. Kanda was moving. I had to speak...I had to...

My eyes flashed open and I gasped for air. My voice seemed hoarse just as it was this morning. My vision was blurry, but when it came into focus I saw the feathers spurting out of my abdomen. My shirt was open revealing my midsection turning a shade of grey. Kanda looked down at me and he was calling my name, asking if I was alright. I yelped in pain as my body began to register my voice working. Tears began to stream down my face as the pain coursed through me.

"K...Kanda.... H...help....it hurt...s..." I choked out. "The feathers....the wound....the...the cramps...Kanda make it stop." I clung onto his shirt weeping uncontrollably.

"Komui is that thing ready yet?!" Kanda yelled at the crazed scientist. "The Moyashi is awake!" He looked down at me again, "it will be okay Allen. Just hold on, Komui will help you."

"Bring him over Kanda! It's ready!" I glanced over to see Komui motioning Kanda to come. Kanda ran over and I cried out at the movement. The machine was like a containment system. A single chair resided inside with chords running on the inside. There was a tint of green surrounding the metal container.

"W...what's that..?" I whispered as Komui opened the door. "Kanda I'm scared.."

"I know Allen but this is for your own safety. The idiot thinks this is going to help you with the fourteenth. Trust him okay?" Kanda brought me inside and sat me in the chair. I let out a whimper wanting him to hold me. I wanted his warmth against my skin, I wanted to touch his silky hair, I wanted to breath in his addicting scent.

"Kanda hurry out now!" Komui ordered from the computers on the outside. Out of the corner of my eye, I barely caught a glimpse of Levellier and his dog Link.

Kanda strapped my arms to the arm rests, and did the same to my legs to the legs of the chair. "Stay strong." He tapped my hand before running out. Komui pressed a button closing the door. I heard it snap and lock shut leaving me alone inside...in tremendous pain.

"Power the machine up."

"Sir are you sure this is going to work?" A scientist questioned. Why are they second guessing?! I'm in pain here! I pulled against the restrains wanting out. A sharp pain flared up in my stomach making me scream.
