"Happy birthday dear Louis. Happy birthday to you." Everyone claps as Louis blows out the lit candles surrounding the birthday cake. He looks around and smiles at his family. He traveled back to Doncaster about three days ago, and he's happy he's able to spend it with his family. Then he'll be back in London on the 27th to have another birthday and Christmas with his other family.
"Here Louis, Phoebe and I made this for you in school, but mum helped us with it. We hope you like it." Louis takes the gift with a smile and carefully unwraps the gift. He smiles again when he sees a painted picture frame with a picture of all the girls in it.
"Thank you girls; I love it. I'll make sure it finds a good place beside my bed, yeah?" The girls nod, and Lottie walks up to him.
"It's not much considering you can afford practically everything you want now, but this is from me." Louis looks at the box. It's smaller than the twins' gift, so he becomes even more curious. He opens the box and laughs a little.
"It's great. Where did you find it?"
"I had it made. I know it's stupid, but I thought it would be something different from the cheesey store bought 'I love my big brother' and 'I love my little sister' necklaces. And I know you don't wear necklaces, so I thought I'll get him a custom made key chain that speaks the truth. You like it right? Because if not, I can get you something else." Louis shakes his head at his younger sister.
"I love it Lottie. Thank you." Fizzy jumps forward.
"My turn." Fiizy hands Louis a card. "I hope you like it." Louis opens the envelope and begins to read the card. "Read it out loud." Louis nods his head and begins to read it again.
"For your birthday, you're getting something really big." He opens the card and reads the inside. "Your new age. Happy birthday. Love always, Fizzy." Everyone laughs, and Louis pulls the girls into a hug. "Thank you for the gifts. I love them all." The girls move away from the hug with a smile.
"And tomorrow is Christmas." Louis nods his head and goes to speak, but can hear his phone going off in the kitchen. He goes to get up, but Fizzy pulls him back down.
"Daisy's got it. She was in the kitchen anyway." A few seconds later Daisy is walking out of the kitchen with Louis' phone to her ear. She passes it to him with a smile.
"It's Niall." He takes the phone.
"Hey Nialler."
"Hey Lou, happy birthday."
"Thanks mate. How's Trinity? Zayn told me she got sick the other night." Niall rubs the back of his neck and looks at his daughter, who is asleep on the couch.
"I don't know. It just hit her so suddenly. She was fine one minute then the next she came over to me and said she didn't feel well. She's running a fever, she's pale, she can't keep any food down. I don't know what's going on. She can't stand up without having to sit back down again because she feels dizzy." Louis bites his lip.
"I don't know mate. How long has this been going on for?"
"How long have you been gone?"
"Three days." Niall thinks about it before nodding.
"Yeah, it's been about that long." Louis nods his head and scratches the back of his neck.
"I'll be home in three days. If she doesn't get better here before I get back, call me. She can't be dealing with just a cold or anything."
"Yeah. Well, happy birthday again, Lou. See you in a few days and Happy Chirstmas."
"You too mate. Tell Trinity I love her and hopes she gets better." They end the call, and Jay looks at Louis.
