You walk from your seat keeping in mind that you are not alone in the room. Your mother and brother walk before you knowing that you didn't want them to stay. As they leave the room you couldn't take it anymore falling to your knees before you could grab hold of something to steady yourself.
Once you stand you look at him lying on the white bed a small smile on his face as if knowing that you where there even though he was in a deep sleep. You know he wouldn't want to see you like this. You lean down slowly placing a single soft kiss to his forehead lingering only for seconds before moving to softly whisper next to his ear.
You turn away knowing that your stay was coming to a end. As you walk to the door you refuse to look back knowing that your resolve would break the minute that you do.
The door opens and a bright white light shines though and standing there in the middle of the door frame is a man in white arms open for you to join him. You aren't scared and take a step forward. Before you could make it completely though you here a soft whisper from behind that makes the small smile you wear moisten with salty tears.
"I promise."
