"We shall be married in a weeks time," Damien says as he lifts me up in the air. I frown slightly when everyone starts to clap and cheer. Music begins to play and our fathers shake hand smiling happily at one another.

"Wait," I say. Instantly everyone grows quiet, the music stops with the screech of a violin and I hear faint shattering sound as someone drops a wine glass. Damien looks at me confused at what I said.

"What do you mean wait?" he asked his smile faltering slightly. "I want to marry you right away." He gives me the charming smile he gives to every girl expecting them to swoon over him, which sadly we all do.

"I need to know why," I tell him softly. I could see my father shaking his head at me but I paid him no mind. I needed to know if Damien wanted me for me - not my looks.

"You're beautiful," he says with a confused expression as if that was reason enough. I pull back slightly from him.

     "And?" I asked him.

He stares at me for a moment as if that alone was the most important reason. I stare at him in disbelief before lowering my head allowing my hair to fall in front of my face. I can hear my father sigh as Damien's father urges him to continue. He begins to stumble as he tries to find something else to say.

If anyone would like to use this to write a story please do. I think it would be interesting on how someone would continue it. I thought of this after watching the Swan Princess.

In my mind, I think that she should fall for someone who isn't from the high class world but her father will not give up on making her marry Damien.

If you do wish to take this story idea please tell me.
