A Thousand Years

AN: So this is a Dantana one shot I wrote on my phone and it's basically a tester for if you guys would enjoy a Dantana fic, I hope you like it and as always feedback is more than welcome

Dani had cherished the last week with her girlfriend, Santana had been asked to come back to Lima for a week to spend with the glee club and mentor some of the newbies. When Mr Schue had asked her back she didn't give it a second thought before inviting Dani to come home with her, she wanted her to meet her parents, and her family, her family was always made up of the people in that glee club, who loved her no matter her sexuality, her moods or even her alter ego snix.

It was hers and Dani's last day in Ohio, and it was definitely going to be one both would remember for the rest of their lives.

The two had pulled infront of McKinley Santana's old school just in time for their last glee club. Over the last week Dani had gotten to know the people Santana cared about the most, and even got to sing for and with them. The whole glee concept was something she had never got to be apart of during school.

"Baby why don't you go down to the choir room I really have to pee?" Santana proposed as they walked through the halls.

"No problem, I'll go and let them know you won't be long." Dani smiled back before kissing her girlfriend on the cheek and making her way down the hallway. Little did she know, Santana wasn't going to the bathroom, she didn't even realise as Santana started running the completely opposite way.

Dani walked into the choir room and was a little confused when all she saw was Rachel sat on a chair with a smile on her face. Dani had got to know the girl well over the two years that she had been with Santana and considered her one of her best friends.

"Hey rach, where is everyone?" Dani asked when Rachel walked over to her.

"They are all waiting for you." Rachel smirked.

"What do you mean waiting for me?" Dani questioned with a smile.

Rather than responding, Rachel just put her hand out for Dani to take, Dani reluctantly took her friends hand as she began leading her out of the choir room, as they came round the corner to the auditorium door Dani spotted Santana's best friend Quinn with a boquet of lillies tied together with a blue ribbon, her favourite flower, Santana's favourite colour.

"These are for you." Quinn smiled as she pulled Dani in for a hug before handing her the flowers.

"Guys what's going on?" Dani giggled nervously as Rachel opened the door and Quinn ushered for her to go inside.

Dani had to squint to adjust her eyes to the darkness of the auditorium. The entire room was in darkness except for a single seat that was lit up with just a spotlight.

Dani started walking carefully down the steps a towards the front of the stage where the seat was, there was a little note on the seat that said 'Dani, sit down and enjoy the show'. She carefully sat down on the seat as she sat the boquet and the note on the seat beside her.

The blonde nonchalantly put her hands in her lap as the spotlight began to fade and the room was lit up by a soft pink glow, as she looked in awe of the room as a soft piano melody began to play as the stage lit up and Dani saw all of Santana's and now her friends on the stage in a line.

"Five hundred twenty-five thousand

They all sang making Dani smile, she thought back to one of her favourite dates with Santana, after begging her for weeks to take her to see rent Santana had finally give in, and Dani remembered singing this very song to Santana before telling her she loved her for the first time.
