"Adrien, I'm going to fly to China." The bluenette announced to her husband. Adrien turned around to face her with a worried look.

"For how long?" He asked his wife. They've only recently gotten married even though they've known and loved each other for a long time. He didn't want her to get hurt, but even worse.. lose her.

"Well, I'm just visiting grandparents. Probably about three weeks." Marinette said as she set dinner on the table for the both of them.

"I'm worried about you." She stopped in her tracks to face him. "Why do you say that? It's only for three weeks."

"I've been hearing about a lot of plane crashes lately." Adrien sighed as he shoved his soup in his cheeks. "There's been around fifteen plane crashes each day now." His voice was muffled because of the delicious food.

"Don't worry. I'll make it, I'll be safe. Just for you." She smiled and kissed Adrien passionately. "You know I'll always love you, right?"

Adrien smiled, finally reassured. "Forever and always, M'Lady."

One week later..

"Bye, Mari!" He waved to his wife as she smiled and blew him a kiss. "Have fun!"

Back at home, Adrien's phone buzzed. He opened up the text and to his joy, it was from Marinette. He read the text to himself out loud.

M: I'm on the plane right now. Ready for take off!

Adrien smiled and decided to reply back.

A: Alright, have fun! Love you bunches! 😘

M: Love you too, Sweetheart! 😘🐱

Adrien felt happy for her. He should be happy, just for her, and not worry about her well being, because she had reassured that she'd be okay. Adrien knew she would be just fine. He then turned to look at the clock.

Eleven o' clock already? Adrien thought and proceeded to yawn shortly after.

"Time for sleep, I guess." He mumbled to himself as Plagg followed up behind him. He got into bed as his kwami immediately went to sleep on top of Adrien's pillow. He slowly shut his eyes, all of his worries disappearing for the day.

The next day, Adrien was tired. Exhausted, if you will. He didn't know why, but he didn't feel like making himself waffles, so instead, ate some Cheerios. Adrien sat down at the table and drank some coffee while he munched down on his cereal. He looked around the house, as it was almost empty due to lack of furniture since they had just moved in. Most of their stuff is Marinette's. Only Marinette's jacket remained.

A couple of minutes later, his phone buzzed. Adrien looked to see who the text was from, getting excited that it was from Marinette. Instead, it was Alya.

Alya: Hey, Adrien, what flight is Marinette on?

Adrien: Why do you ask?

Alya: At around 1am last night, a plane crashed over the Mediterranean Sea.

Adrien: Oh.

Adrien: Marinette's first plane was going to land in India.

Alya: So, what's the first plane's number?

Adrien: Flight 804.

Alya: Oh no.

Adrien: What?

Alya: Check it out.

Adrien knew this couldn't be good. He flipped on the TV and scrolled through the channels until he found the international news channel. He watched intensely, focused on the news reporter on the screen.

"Flight 804 crashed over the Mediterranean Sea last night at around 1am. It was tragic but thankfully only twenty seven passengers were on board. Sadly, five died in the fire and one passenger drowned in the sea. One passenger happened to be the girlfriend of an international fashion designer named Adrien Agreste, who sadly drowned later this morning. I'm Natasha Weblebell for 9am news. Stay tuned." Adrien turned off the TV. His eyes were tearing up.

He whipped his head to look over at Marinette's jacket. He ran over to it, hugged it, and held it to his chest. It smelled just like her, just like cookies and other magical sweets. It was like she was still here.. before she died ever so tragically.

Adrien started sobbing into the jacket, he kept sniffling and crying for a while. He fell to his knees, dropping her jacket.

"I'm sorry, Marinette.."

"C-Could you please forgive me..?"
