The Battle of the Four

Chapter 4

PERCY'S POV

We said bye to Draco and headed over to where Nico and Will where waiting.

"Who was that?" Nico asks once Draco's out of our sight.

Annabeth answers before I get the chance "Draco Malfoy. He's the son of one of Voldemort's most loyal followers. He's also terrible at flirting"

"Wait, you knew he was flirting with you?" I ask Annabeth.

"Yeah, let's go into our room so we can talk freely" she said heading upstairs.

"Then why did you let him?" I ask after following Annabeth to the room.

"Because we have a quest here and we have no idea what we have to do. Being friends with Draco will open up a lot of gates" she says. "I do not wish to make him my boyfriend, if that's what you're worried about"

I nod "Ok"

Nico interrupts our conversation "Hey guys, we really need to plan tomorrow"

"Draco can't be in diagon alley tomorrow so we might want to stick together" Annabeth replies.

"It doesn't matter what stores we go to, we already did all of our shopping" I add.

"Ok we can see if Harry, Ron and Hermione are fine with it" Will says.

"Do you two know anything new about our quest?" Nico asks.

"The night before we started this quest I had a dream of a goddess in a cell, I didn't get any names thought the dream was cut off" I remember.

"Why didn't you bring this up earlier?" Annabeth asks.

I shrug "I sorta forgot"

"Percy, that information would probably be very important for this quest, why didn't you write it down or something"  Will asks me.

"HaHaHa me write? I can barely read I think that my writing would be intelligible, besides this was before I knew about the quest" sammmme percy

"Anyways, what did you do today?" Nico asks trying to change the conversation. 

"Well Annabeth got flirted with by Draco and seemed to enjoy the attention" I say trying not to let jealousy creep into my voice.

"Percy, I already told you that he will be useful on this quest, I think we should also pretend breakup to more effectively use him" 

"Ooooooo Annabeth, you're starting to sound sinister" Nico interrupted.

"I only said that he's not a really good guy and he probably is working for Voldemort, besides this conversation is getting nowhere I'm going to bed" and then Annabeth walks upstairs to bed.

"You never said that" mutters Nico.

Will glares at Nico "You know Annabeth has a point, but I don't think she'll want to come with us tomorrow"

"Well since we have a plan for tomorrow I think we should go to bed and meet up down here tomorrow, night guys" I say and head up to bed.

The only reason I ended the meeting early was to chat with Annabeth, and to clear some things up.

"Hey Annie" I say entering the room.

"Hi Perce" she answers "is the meeting done already?"

"No, I ended it to talk with you about our plans and if we are really going to pretend to break up"

"Oh, so what do you want cleared up?"

"Nothing really, just I think that you should be seen with me less and less, so tomorrow could you go somewhere else in diagon alley without us? I'll say we had a fight and we wanted alone time to figure it out"

"Sure, is that it?"

"Well, no. I'm worried that you may actually fall in love with Malfoy"

Annabeth looks like she's suppressing a laugh "of course I'm not, he is so full of himself that I can't even see how he'll ever get a girlfriend"

This makes me feel better. "Well we should get to bed, see you tomorrow"

At this I turn out the lights and hop into a weirdly dreamless sleep.

Hi, sorry this took so long to write but I promise I'm not giving up on this, school is hard and I'm having difficulties not falling behind on my homework so this is being put to the side most of the time, I want to write more but I don't know how often I'll be able to.
