Chapter One: Had Enough

Huffing I sat down, father hasnt said one word to me. Again. On my birthday. AGAIN. Its August 10th my fourteenth birthday. I have gotten presents and well wishes  from all my friends and their parents (for the weasleys) and not one damn word from my father. all summer hes spent at the school and not one second of it with me. AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I heard the front door slam closed alerting me that dad is home for lunch. well i dont care im going to stay up here and finish my homework and then when he leaves im going to go to diagon alley to get my school stuff. dont look at me like that! I've waited for dad to take me but thats like watching the grass grow in the winter. it isnt going to happen. I heard him walk up the stairs and stop at my bedroom door for a minute then he went to his bedroom, sighing i got back into my homework but was jolted back out of it when i heard slammming and crashing noises coming from his room. grabbing my bat i headed stealthily to the room and saw a burgler just then the floor under my feet creaked alerting him to my presence. he turned and ran at me i raised my bat up but he caught me by suprise by tackling me groaning as i hit the floor. my brain went into overdrive, dropping my bat i started punching him in the face repeatively however i didnt see him take out a knife until i felt it in my gut , twisting in circles he then stabbed me several more times before standing back up.

"you think you can stop me you stupid girl?" he snarled " crucio"

I was on fire and in alot of pain, screaming my back arched from the non stop pain for ten minutes he torchered me when my mind did the only thing it could to get away from the pain, i passed out .

SEVERUS SNAPE POV

I heaved a sigh as i walked into my home. It was quiet, too quiet. with it being after seven ashlynn would already have dinner done. where is she? i questioned myself and walked up the stairs to see her bleeding and passed out the second floor was a mess. calmly i scooped her up and apparated to st mungos.

"i came home to find my daughter like this" i said they took her and immediately started working to save her while i just apparated back to hogwarts..

ASHLYNN POV

I woke up two weeks later at st mungos by myself. I sighed as a healer walked in.

"oh good your awake." she said

" how long have i been out?" I asked

" two weeks. you have to be careful of what you do, there was some internal damage. the knife hit your spine and damaged a nerve so there will alwas be pain, you can take a potion for pain once a day" she said and handed me a menu for something to eat i picked a pizza she poked it on the menu with her wand and it appeared, then she made some juice appear.

"has my dad been here?" i asked

"no im sorry he hasnt been here since he brought you in." she said looking at me simpethetically.

"okay. can i get some parchment and a quill?" i asked and she gave it to me before walking out. so i began writing through the blur of tears that had started falling onto the parchment.

Dear Mrs. Weasley,

I am writing to you from St. Mungos. I was wondering if there was anyway i could live with you? I was attacked on my birthday by a burgler when he was in the process of robbing us. yes i was home alone. my dad hasnt been here since he brought me here two weeks ago. he hasnt even asked about me , after ignoring my birthday, again. please mrs. weasley im begging you i dont want to see him.  im going to owl him telling him i am released in two days, but im going to be released tonight, then i can go get my stuff and a bunch of money from gringotts and open my own vault.

I sealed it in an envelope and waved my wand , making it appear on the weasleys dinner table and then wrote dad a letter.

   Father,

I am going to be released in two days. please be here to get me.

 i sealed it and made it appear on his desk. i ate my food and just as i finished mrs weasley practically ran into  my room

"oh deary, oh ash of course you can live with us. come lets get the release papers and get you home" she said ten minutes later i was at my dads house in my room mrs weasley waved her wand and literally everything was in my trunk. the room was bare. i grabbed my trunk and we apparated to gringotts. fourty minutes and all school supplies later i was with molly outside the order's headquarters. we walked in and i went up to the room ginny was in which was really big. I waved my wand and my part of the room all my stuff went out of my trunk and where it was suppose to. thats when i heard the yelling.

"WHERE IS SHE" dad screamed.

" what are you talking about " mrs weasley asked.

" ASHLYNN WHERE IS SHE. " he yelled.

" im right here father." i said  appearing.

" WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT SHIT?!!!!!!"  he screamed.

" you left me alone all summer, forgot my birthday,  and never visited me in st mungos. I almost DIED and you never once even showed up to see how i was. Im  sorry but im not living with you anymore." i said

" get your stuff your going home now." he snarled

"no." i said simply. but got a shock when i felt him slap me. that set everyone in an uproar.

" leave snivillus your not welcome here" some guy everyone called sirius snarled

" fine but before i do. Your adopted." he snarled and left.

" You gave her to him?!!" sirius snarled

 "she was safer with him sirius" professor dumbledore said

" with all due respect professor, even though i might have been safer with him it was a very lonely life being left alone all the time. he wouldnt do any house work and always ignored my birthdays and ignored me at school. he never showed me any love or kindness at all. it was all harshness and cruelty."  i said just above a whisper.

" I thought he would treat you a lot better considering..." he trailed lost in thought.

" professor, who were my parents?" i asked as harry ron hermione and the weasley kids appeared.

" Lily and James Potter. " he said with a sad smile

" so that would make " i started

" Me her older brother" harry trailed.....

" Yes. Indeed it would." he said and left while sirius was fuming

" i cant believe he had you and didnt atleast take care of you." he snarled

" sirius, its okay" i said

" NO its not okay" he yelled

" You interrupted me, shush black, its okay because i drained almost all of the money in his gringotts account. " i said and he started laughing

" i still dont approve though ashlynn" molly said frowning

" look at it this way. i have compensation for him being cruel all my life" i said laying my head on her shoulder giving her a wry smile. oh my little family. we are a little mismatched but how i love them
