Dachi's POV
August 12th
Oh. I saw them again.
"Hey Daichi!" A year 2 student with mismatched socks came flouncing over to me.
"Well, if it isn't (Y/N). What brings you to the third year floor?" I smiled.
"Uhh Sensei asked me to bring over some papers for him but I wanted to see you!"
I think I fell in love all over again.
"(Y/N)!" They turned,
"Oh, (Friends/N),"
"You're going to be late, lunch break already ended."
(Y/N) jolted with surprise.
"Well.. It was nice talking to you, Daichi, see you soon!"
August 16th
Can I have them? All to myself?
"Sorry I wasn't able to meet up with you last night, family matters came up." Their voice floated through the speaker.
"No worries, the ramen shop was closed anyways." I chuckled.
Do I even have a chance?
"(F/N).." I paused..
"What is it Daichi? Need help with math homework again?" The teasing voice washed over me.
"Says the person a year younger than me."
"Ehhh??! You never know, I might be smarter than you."
August 21st
What am I to you?
"What am I to you?"
The second year cocked their head to one side,
"What are you to me, Daichi?" They pondered. "Well, it's kind of hard to explain.."
My heart bounced. Was it always so hard to breathe?
"Ah! I know!"
My heart whistled through the air.
"You're kind of like that one older brother to me!"
My heart soared. Where did my air go?
Nothing. I am nothing to you.
