Ryan's POV

I put my earbuds in, looking out the window of the 3rd floor of the university at the autumn leaves floating in the wind.

I smiled, humming to myself.

"We don't talk anymore,

we don't talk anymore,

we don't talk anymore like we used to do."

The music streamed softly through the earbuds as I leaned against the window sill.

I heard footsteps behind me as someone tapped my shoulder.

I turned around, seeing the teacher.

"You may come in now, Mr. Louie."

She smiled up at me.

I smiled.

"Thanks."

She turned around and strode into the class.

"Class! Attention please! We have a new student in our class!"

She said loudly to the class.

I walked into the classroom slowly, yawning.

As I got to the middle of the classroom, I turned toward the class.

I looked around, looking for faces that I already knew.

Half of the class' eyes were wide and they were all gaping at me.

The other half just blinked at me in interest.

"What?"

I heard someone hiss.

I sighed mentally.

'Another brat?'

I nodded at the class.

"Sup. I'm Ryan Louie.... And I just moved back here from California.... Looking forward to spending the year with all of you, I guess."

I said.

"Whoa, he's pretty cute."

"He's hot!"

"Omg he's really cute."

The girls in the classroom that I didn't know were whispering to each other, glancing at me.

I smiled toward them.

I felt someone staring at me from the middle of the classroom, toward the windows.

I looked up at them.

His wide familiar purple blue eyes stared into mine intently.

One word popped into my head.

Not a word.... A name.

'Kai.'

My eyes widened slowly as I stared at him.

Kai opened his mouth to speak.

".....R-Ryan?!"

He stuttered, his voice lower than before, and softer.

I stared at him.

"Kai....."

I mumbled.

"Mr. Louie, please take a seat over there."

The teacher pointed at the seat in front of Kai.

I nodded and walked over to my seat slowly.

Kai stared at me while I walked toward him.
