Third person POV
If you've ever been to jail, then I'm surprised your reading a book by some stuck up white kid on a reading website
You also know that it isn't much fun.
The Hall of Legendary Heroes was falling apart at the seams. Now they were all washed up punks who were acting like teenagers.
There lies the problem.
Teenagers aren't smart enough to not get arrested for drug possession. Teenagers aren't smart enough to not insist on going to court as one group.
Teenagers aren't smart enough to not call the judge convicting them to six months in prison and a twenty thousand dollar fine an "ass eating dick face".
And they were teenagers.

So let's see how our heroes are doing!
(Picture that stereotypical harmonica riff going into this)
Ninety POV
We were framed. I swear that we were framed. It was almost as if some higher power wanted to send us to jail, trying to create some type of exposition to the second of three books, the one in the middle that introduces the problem but doesn't have any action, and is somewhat difficult to read.
But It was probably just some jealous kid.
As the leader of the Hall, it was my responsibility to stay clean. As for the others....
But they insisted we go to court as a group, and guess what?
I was in that group.
Six months for possession of marijuana. We were in Alabama at the time, and it is quite illegal there.
Then my homeboy camelback was smart enough to call the judge in front of us(and this was a very traditional southern community) an 'Ass eating Dick face.'
So yeah, that got us an extra month.
4 white bread toddlers, sitting in Juvy, trying to sort out there lives.
And that's when the phone call came.
"Matthew, you've got a call. Kris Tamilla."
I had no idea who she was, but any company was good company.
"Bring her over."
The guard brought over the phone, the girl on the other line calling to change our lives.
"This is Matthew speaking."
"Matthew... I have an offer you can't resist."
