Junhee woke up at midnight, of course, with the help of the digital alarm clock on her night table. She yawned and did some stretching before pushing herself to climb off the bed. The plan must go on.

She can't back out of her plan now. She needed to get out of this damn place. She was sick of everything about this big, empty palace and with everyone trying to be perfect and trying to please the whole world. She had always wanted to live a normal lifeㅡ no unnecessary rules, no irrelevant limitations, no guards tagging along wherever she goes.

Anyone would do anything just to be in her placeㅡ but she would trade for any kind of life in a heartbeat. If you grew up thinking princesses are all lovely and happy while just sitting around in their glittery, beautiful gowns waiting for their prince charming to come in a white horse and take them awayㅡ then you have to wake up. She, born with a golden spoon in her mouth and was titled a princess, would not sit around and wait for a prince charming to come and get her. She will take herself away from this place. Oh, her prince charming might even get mad at her for this. She's going to run away without him.

Junhee walked towards her dresser after taking a quick shower. Who knows for how long she won't be able to have one?
She brushed her long black hair down to her waist while staring at herself across the mirror. She grabbed the scissors and cut off half of her hair and more, and more until the length could only reach her chin. She smirked at her new hair style. Well, her stylist would be proud of her.

After putting her cut hair in a plastic bag, she went to her walk-in closet and grabbed some clothes she bought online which she never really wore because she wasn't allowed to wear ripped jeans and baggy shirts. She pushed them inside her black backpack along with the plastic bag of her hair and dressed into a pair of black leggings and grey hoodie. She put on a black baseball cap and comfortable rubber shoes.

She checked the rope she tied on the railings of her window and grinned hoping everything goes as planned. She grabbed her backpack and the smoke bombs she asked her friend to buy for her before lighting them up and pressing the fire alarm in her room. Finally, she jumped out of the room she had lived in ever since she was a kid and slid down the rope.

Reaching the ground, she peeped carefully on some of the security guards hurrying inside the palace. "Emergency. The fire alarm went off. Check on the family now." She heard one of them said while holding on his earpiece. Junhee ran with light steps towards the garden where she set up a ladder few days ago. She climbed on it and felt her bones made a slight cracking sound when she landed on the ground. Her feet hurt but she got up and ran away, as quick as she could, from the palace.

She opened up her phone and removed the sim card that they could use to track her then threw it away. She walked ten blocks away in the dark, scary night. The thing is, she didn't think about this— walking alone in the middle of a quiet night. She stopped by the bank machine and withdrew some money using her credit card, which she knew would be tracked as well. She walked out of the rich town, with cash in her hands, and checked in to the nearest and cheap-looking motel.

"What's your name?" The woman asked at the reception.

"Junh— June. . . June Han." said Junhee with her heart pounding a little bit strongly against her chest.
