Chapter 12

JUNE'S POV

"YEOM JUNHEEEEEEEE!" Donggeun screamed making everyone in the room turn their attention to me.

I laughed. "Donggeun-aaaaah!"

We dramatically ran towards each other and hugged while jumping.

"I can't believe you're back, you little rebel." He said, smiling.

I looked around and noticed there's only him, Sungjae and Daeun. Basically, my best friends but... someone's missing.

"I thought this is a welcome party? Why is the place so... dead?" I asked, looking at the familiar white walls of Donggeun's flat.

"That's the point. We're not spending it here." Donggeun said while I was hugging Daeun.

"What?" I asked.

Donggeun leaned in closer and whispered. "Are you ready to escape your bodyguards again?"

My eyes widened. "Why?"

"Just follow at the count of threeㅡone, three!" He yelled and we all ran towards his car. It was so hard for me because of the stupid heels. I can't even take them off because of the stupid long straps.

"Junhee, hurry!" Sungjae said, smiling and then looking down at my shoes, he grabbed my hand at first and helped me run and then he carried me, bridal style without a word.

I was too surprised to react. I wiggled my legs and I didn't know whether to smile or frown or what because the guards were behind us.

"Yah! Put me down. Put me down." I begged.

He grinned. "Do you wanna get caught?"

"Love birds, hurry!" Donggeun yelled from his car.

I looked at Sungjae. "Didn't you tell them yet?" I asked.

He smiled. "I thought I shouldn't talk about you while you were gone." He said.

I was about to say something when he put me on the backseat of the car. "Let's go!" He said and got on the passenger seat.

Breathing out and looking at my friendsㅡI came to realize that maybe I have a lot of fake ones, but there are few ones that would always be there to back me up when I need it.

Seoul College of Arts & Music

"What are we doing here?" I asked them when we stopped in front of the familiar building. It's what I saw on the poster.

"Changsub took entrance exams last month and today was his interview. We're here to find out if he got in." Daeun said.

"Changsub applied in a music school? Seriously?"

"Yeah, he always loved music, you know. I guess that's what we all have in common." said Sungjae.

We got off the car once we saw Changsub getting out. We passed by students whispering and looking at us.

"Seems like you got yourself more famous than before." said Donggeun.

"Or maybe it's you guys. Look, they're all girls." I said, looking around.

The place was so huge and nice. I couldn't help but wish Hyunsik was here to see it.

"You're still the princess, Your Highness." Sungjae said with a chuckle. There was a huge space between us as we walked and I saw some people taking our pictures.

"I'm gonna be grounded for another month." I uttered and they laughed.

"Changsub-aaaah!" Daeun called out loud.
