You happily walked home, (s/c) cheeks still slightly pink from Silver's kind words. The sun had set, igniting the sky in soft oranges, pinks, and purples. You tugged on your cardigan, wrapping your arms around yourself to conserve heat, as the weather became more chilly. Wind blew, causing stray (h/c) hairs to land in your eyes. You sighed, suddenly feeling guilty about leaving Silver to pay for your undoubtedly large bill; he could have driven you home had you stayed. You moved the hairs off of your face and behind your ears, placing a hand on your wallet to make sure it was still there.
Slowly shaking your head, you quickened your pace as you walked on the sidewalk, trying to be as cautious as possible. Up ahead you could see a group of males smoking, your mind told you it was unsafe to be near them, but you ignored the feeling as you pushed yourself to move faster, almost at a jog. A wolf whistle was heard, (e/c) hues widening upon realizing your mistake. Your heart hammered against your rib cage as you quickened your pace further to pass the group. A hand shot out and grabbed your much smaller one, and you were pulled flush against another being. Your face contorted into one of fear, instantly regretting your decision. You could feel his body shake as he laughed, your head bobbing along with his movements. Your breaths were uneven, your heart beating erratically.
"Look at this cutie!" He said, and upon hearing this, your instincts kicked in as you struggled in his forced embrace.
"Don't bother struggling, honey. We'll just have some fun and let you go. Alright?" Your eyebrows furrowed, faintly remembering that flirtatious voice. A finger was placed under your chin and you tensed up, but allowed the finger to move your face. You looked into bright blue eyes, and they widened as a flash of recognition crossed his sharp features. He stumbled backwards, landing a few feet away from you, looking like a bright green puddle. "G-guys, I think we should leave." He stuttered out. You sighed, relieved that Scourge remembered what happened the last time something similar happened. His cerulean eyes widened when the male behind you laughed; you winced at his booming laughter as your small frame shook with each hearty laugh.
"Why would you say that, Scourge? We just found a babe and you want us to let her go and leave? Come on. You don't want to be kicked out, do you?" He threatened, wrapping his arm around your neck while stepping forward, pushing you along with him. You made a gagging sound, disgusted at the vulgarity. You began to kick and thrash at this point, your heel landing on his shin, making him lose his grip on you. You quickly ducked under his arm and ran, pushing aside two other men.
Profanities were heard, but you could clearly hear someone yell, "Get her! Move!" Tears streamed down your face, blurring your vision. You quickly wiped your tears away with your sleeve, not once slowing down or turning back. You could hear fast footsteps behind you, and by the sound of it, there was more than one of them behind you. You didn't dare turn back to check.
You weaved in between parked cars, (h/c) hair no longer in a bun, but flying behind you as you ran. You could feel yourself slowing down, your legs forcing themselves to pump faster. Your heart beat fast, sweat trickling down the nape of your neck. You tripped, falling as you rolled further down the sidewalk. You lost track of where you were heading long ago, and only one thought circulating in your mind: I'm in so much trouble.
Your vision became blurry as your head came in contact with the pavement. You groaned as immense pain filled your head. The last thing you saw were a pair of shoes, and feeling your body being lifted off the ground. Shadow can't save me this time.
With that thought in mind, your consciousness faded away into darkness.
