Marie's POV

I watched as snow fell outside my window, I loved the snow as a kid. My aunt told me my mom loved it when she was little as well. I don't know how I feel about it now... I probably still love it, I don't understand my feelings anymore. After I passed out, I woke up in my room, 'Jack must have brought me back here' I remember everything that happened, and I feel weak just thinking about it 'Huh, so this is what it feels like to be pathetic?' The door opened and interrupted my thoughts. I looked over to see it was Jack with a worried look on his face and a bowl of soup in his hands, but when he spotted me awake, he was happy again. I looked back at the soup in his hands and broke the silence.

"You don't know how to take care of an injured person, do you?"

"Hehe, not really, my maids usually do that for me." I looked at him.

Jack's POV

'Ugh, I can't believe I just said that!' I'm such an idiot, I waited for a reaction, but nothing was said or done. 'I guess I should explain to her'

"Um, well, My dad is actually rich, so he hired servants to work for us...." there was a long silence.

"Then why are you here?" I was shocked at her question, I looked at her with my face filled with confusion.

"You have a big house, plenty professionally cooked food, and anything you could ever want. So why did decide to live in a old burnt house with a stranger?" I thought about for a while, why did I decide to live with this girl?

"Why? Well, because you're you. You won't care if I'm rich or poor, famous or a criminal. You helped me even when you had no idea who I was, I should be the one questioning you." I looked at Marie with a nervous smile, but when I looked at her she was just looking down at the blanket that was covering her. 'Great I upset her..'

"Well, weather this heals you or not, you still need to eat. Here." I handed the bowl to Marie and she took it in her own hands, then just stared at it. The whole scene was uncomfortable for me, I quickly tried to change the subject.

"Isn't the snow outside beautiful?" All I got as a response was a nod and a slight hum from her mouth. 'There's no way I can fix this' I got up and started to head for the door when I felt a small tug on my sleeve. I looked over at Marie in confusion. She was looking down, her arm was extended to touch my sleeve, probably the most cutest thing I've ever seen. She started to shake her head, and she spoke.

"No, don't leave, please stay with me." I didn't know what to say, I just sat down and kept her company. I smiled at her, even though she didn't see me, I happily watch her as she ate the soup I prepared for her. Everything was perfect, the scenery, the room, her.

'I never realized how beautiful she looks,'
