the next day, it was now around lunch time for the prison and like always everyone was supposed to head to the cafeteria.

but jimin and jungkook had gotten a head start on the morning and ended up being the very first ones there. lucky for them, they got bigger food portions and even filled up on eating before their friends could be there to take their food. and when their friends did arrive, they were surprised to see them there before them.

"you guys look pretty happy." taehyung pointed out as he sat down. "what'd we miss?" hoseok slid into the seat beside him followed by namjoon and jin.

namjoon and jin immediately broke into knowing grins although quick to hide them by stuffing food into their mouths. taehyung looked at them in confusion, and back to the other two.

"really what happened?" he asked. hoseok sipped on his drink and stared at them, waiting for an answer presumably. jimin flashed jungkook a look and he nodded.

"well," jungkook reached under the table and pushed a hand into jimin's, eloping them together like they held a delicate object. it made jimin smile. "jimin and i are... i suppose what you'd call, together." taehyung's jaw fell open, his face dead still in shock. however, he quickly reversed his gaping mouth from the ground and returned to normal.

"wow, so you guys finally grew a pair and owned up to your mutual attractions?" taehyung's lips grew a sly smirk. jungkook scoffed and rolled his eyes.

"i wouldn't call it mutual.." jimin laughed, "but we did come out and say it in a type of way, yes."

hoseok on one side of taehyung threw his head back and laughed, banging on the table while taehyung shook his head and chuckled. namjoon and jin almost joined in on the sounds of amusement, but rather namjoon coughed to stop himself from doing so, and jin merely turned the other direction while choking.

meanwhile jungkook, tried to stop his own grin from ripping his cheeks into shreds of muscle.

"and what about you taehyung, hm?" the younger shot back at him. taehyung's face blushed impulsively and a glance was cast to his side at hoseok, who had a timid smile growing on his face now.

"yeah, we owned up to our own feelings too." hoseok looked over at taehyung and smiled such a warm smile, taehyung felt like the suns rays had imprinted against the side of his face.

"really?!" jimin gasped and looked from taehyung to jungkook. "when did this happen?! this is the first time ive heard of this!" jungkook chuckled and rested his head in the palm of his other hand. jimin continued to look completely in shock at the two. "what about you two?!" jimin exclaimed at jin and namjoon.

jin went pink and namjoon just averted his eyes from them. jungkook leaned down to his ear and nudged him.

"actually we know they like each other, but neither of them seems to know about it or how to confess." jungkook whispered to him. jimin mumbled a small oh and glanced at them again.

"we've tried to get them together for awhile jimin. it's hard work," taehyung laughed. he looked a little less flustered than earlier and hoseok seemed to calm down also.

the six continued to chat, and before they knew it was time to leave each other for whatever was next on their schedule.

jimin didn't really want to leave because it had been pretty awkward between him and jungkook ever since yesterday. and jimin absolutely hated awkward atmospheres. they made him feel heavy and as if there was something wrong.

it was free time hour for him and he was free to do whatever he wanted. and he wanted to break the ice in his relationship with jungkook.

"hey jungkook." jimin called and jungkook turned his head.

"yeah?"

"can we go to your house?" jimin looked at him. "i wanna talk to you." jungkook stared at him for a moment and then sighed.

"sure," and the two exited the building, going straight to jungkooks house. they went inside and sat on the couch, side by side but clearly enveloped in an awkward tension.

"so what's up?" jungkook cocked his head to the side and looked at jimin expectantly.

"it's not... you're not..." jimin sighed. "you don't think we're awkward at all right?" jimin asked, looking at jungkook with big eyes. jungkook raised his head to the ceiling and stared for a moment, most likely thinking.

"yes i do think we're awkward. and i know why too." jungkook grabbed jimins wrist and pushed him down onto his back, hovering his head above jimins.

"why?" jimin breathed, staring shyly up at jungkook who had begun to grin at him cheekily.

"you think namjoon forced me to go out with you. and on top of that since it was so sudden yesterday, you think i don't mean it when i say i love you too." jimin widened his eyes in surprise.

it was insane that even though this did happen yesterday, jungkook had found out so soon. and how jungkook figured this all out so easily was a mystery, but he knew nonetheless, and it made him shy.

"but how did you know?" jimin asked. jungkook smiled softly at him and his eyes glowed with amusement.

"i could tell. you're jimin after all." jungkook teased him, and jimin tried to push him off.

"but it's true right? go ahead and tell me so i know," jimin pushed at jungkooks chest but he didn't budge.

"oh jiminie," jungkook smiled sadly. "really, im kinda hurt, but..." jungkook leaned down and kissed jimin softly, his lips fitting against jimins plump ones perfectly. "really, i do love you. i hope you realize that sometime in the future."

jimin stared up at jungkook with glossy eyes. he felt a spark, a spark so hot he realized it had managed to ignite the fire in his chest that had been previously out cold. that fire was the blazing bush of his love for jungkook.

a smile appeared on his lips and he brought jungkooks head back down to his, molding their lips together once more.

"who knew it would only take a simple kiss to realize it," jimin giggled making jungkook crack up at his words too. they shared the span of time laughing happily. the laughter was as if it was to serve the specific purpose of making them feel more confident in each other.

and to be honest, it completely broke the ice and jimin felt it. he felt the love between them and for once he wasn't doubting it.
