Chapter 16 - The Real Family

Shay's POV

Wearing my leather jacket on as I went out the cabin, ignoring their questions. 

I'm going to find them. 

I checked my phone and saw that the castle was 30 miles away from here. I shifted and managed to not rip my clothes off as I ran the 30 miles. 

Nate's gone. I can't believe it. 

Just yesterday, we were kissing, talking, laughing, having fun and exchanging 'I love you's'.

My paws hit the ground harder as I ran faster tears blurring my eyes. 

'Keera, we have to stay strong. Maybe.. He's happy.. Now that he's with his mate.' I told her, thinking about him with his true mate made my heart ache.

Keera ignored and and ran faster to the castle.

I reached the castle, panting heavily. 

I'm gonna need their help killing the rogues. 

That's why, I'm here. 

Not because I wanna be with them. 

If they didn't want me, then whatever. But, right now. I need their help. 

Let's just hope they believe me. 

I shifted back to human, and relieved that I'm still wearing my clothes. Well, I did it. This was the one Nate had been teaching me for a long time. He'd be proud of me. 

I wiped the tear that fell on my cheek. 

The guards that was on the gate spoke, "Who are you and what do you need?" 

"Just tell them that I'm Rayleen Kashira." I muttered. 

They nodded as they stayed put. Probably mind-linking.

"Come on." A guard said, as he walked in. 

I followed behind him as we came in the castle, I looked around. This castle is a whole lot big than what my mother has told me when I was a kid. The guard knocked at a door, "Come in." A voice called out, from inside the door. 

The guard nodded at me and walked away. I took a deep breath and came in, to see five people inside, "Dylan?" I asked. My voice stil hoarse from everything that had happened. 

He smiled, "Hi Shay." 

I bowed at the King and Queen. "No. No.. Don't bow." The queen said as she held my arm. She stroked my cheek as I looked up at her, "Rayleen.. Oh Rayleen." She said, hugging me. 

I didn't move at all instead I pulled away. "Wait, what? What's happening?" Dylan asked as he stood up with two identical girls. "Shay is Rayleen?" 

"Yes, son." The king stood up. 

Dylan's eyes widened, "Impossible." He whispered. 

The identical girls squealed, "How did you find out?" 

"When we found out that the Blue Moon pack's Alpha died." The king said, "And I'm very shocked that you came here." 

My eyes teared up again at the mention of Nate's death. "You mean.. Nate died?" Dylan asked, "Shay.. he's your mate right?" 

I shook my head, "No.. He's my second chance mate.." I can't take it anymore the tears poured down as I collapsed on the floor, crying. 

"Shay!" Dylan exclaimed as he came to me.
