As we drove through town I realize a small town was really the best way to hide , hidden in plain sight
"So where is the prison I will call home?" I ask expecting for them to say the police station
"Oh no you Are staying in a town house , but you come to work at the hospital and on your three days off we plan to see you at the postal office for exams and other things" Phil says "no you cons choose your own job but on your days off you will be coming in for exams among other things , we figured you have the ability to slip away at anytime so we thought we make you happy and then you stay! " Phil says happily and adds " my family lives here too , you can meet Aubrey and the triplets " Phil says as my smile grows !
"I have always wished to be a teacher , to bestow knowledge upon those of pure intent and pure hearts" I say my Irish accent getting thicker
"Wow you are very Irish huh?" Phil says
" English and Irish to be exact" I say as the car stops I climb out and see the charming little town "so which one is mine? " I ask referring the the Victorian style town houses
"This one "he says as he points to a small dark brown cabin
" I love it , who's staying with me ?" I ask as I see the mail box is full
"I am " Sydney says as she wakes up from her nap
" oh" I say numbly
" come on Marzanna we have to do somethings before you can get settled " David says
" okay let's go " I say as I run my fingers through my hair he leads me to the post office which is relatively normal until you go into the basement which is like a police station
"Full name" A scientist says
"Marzanna" I say
" FULL name " he says again
"MARzanna"I repeat
" Birth date" He says
" Friday the thirteenth , I forget the year , you will have to let me check in my note book" I say
" gender" he asks
" seriously" I look at him and he is unfazed"female"
"What are you " He asks
" I don't know " I say
"Where are you from" he asks
" just outside of Salem " I say
"Any living relatives?" He asks
"Not that I know of" I say
"Any illnesses " he asks
" um mental too many to count physical not that I know of."I reply
"Abilities" he says
" um when do I get out of questioning " I ask avoiding the question
"Now " David says gestures for me to follow him " you are going to have to tell us eventually but for now we can make an exception " he throws a base ball at me "CATCH" I grab it midair "you can touch things so why do you avoid physical contact?"
" I don't wish to talk about it , can I go home now" I say angry
" sure tiger " David says as he tries to grab my hand but I move it before he gets too close "actually I wanna figure that out " he says as he gets closer backing me into a corner"do I need to be afraid to touch you ?" He asks
" you shouldn't , trust me I-I can't control it sometimes "I say
He gets closer and finally touches my skin sending him into shock as memories flash through him "what the hell was that " he asks
" I stay at the asylum because of that"I say as I walk home alone
