The morning started out as any normal day , I go help wake up Aidan we walk to breakfast and then he walked off to find a way to occupy himself, and then we meet for lunch , I didn't follow my schedule because Sydney had moved in , I was expecting to welcome her for a week but since she well has been through this a completely ridiculous amount of times , I felt no need to welcome her , plus she loves to pry as if my heart stopping makes my life open knowledge. , but my Schedule stopped at lunch , a bunch of "Inspectors " came because they had heard complaints for unlawful treatment. As soo as they stepped through the door I knew something was up because they said everything exactly the way , they had papers prepared and signed , none of the inspectors I have seen ever were prepared, and the way their suits were impeccable , as if they wanted no one to talk to them anymore than they needed then to , the first place they went was to Sydney's room and I knew so I immediately hid I went into the vents , it was the only place I could think of
I crawled until I found the vent that went to Sidney's room where I heard them talking
"When was the last time you saw her" Suit 1 asked
"last night , she said she would be back but she never came , I think she stayed with a little boy named Aidan "Sydney said and guiltily adds"I think I upset her, I was asking a lot of personal questions, and well I wouldn't answer the question I was asking either"
"How about her abilities, it wouldn't be the first time we had seen a ghost touch things and or move them "Suit 2 says with a slight Irish accent , as if he didn't want her to know he had a accent
That woman has the audacity to , she told me I need to calm down and figure this out
"That's the thing I don't think she is a ghost , she is over 200 years old , and she well could leave the asylum"Sydney tells them
"But how , we need to lock this place down NOW"Suit 1 says while fiddling with a cell phone and quickly says "we can pretend that there might be something wrong with the oxygen tanks , and that one of them had a leak , I will get the CDC on the phone "He says as the two suits storm out of the room babbling and I appear infront of Sydney
"Why would they lock this place down , there are secret room and halls , it's no use I could leave when ever I wanted "I say mad at Sydney for a telling them eveything it's your fault she told you she was working for them , you knew she would tell them , *another voice says* but I though we were friends , maybe we still are *the first voice says * she told them , they are going to take you no matter what , *my voice yells* KNOCK IT OFF I NEED TO THINK
" I am willing to go "I tell Sydney
"then why did you hide?"Sydney asks
"I was thinking my my best interests , I wanted to see how they reacted , I wanted to see if they were despicable"I say embarrassed
"Well I don't think we will have any problems then , I will just go get them "Sydney says as she moves toward the door I cut her off
"Sydney I know we were never friends but if you wish to be trusted by the undead you need to explain who you are and what your job is , they will trust you , I give you my word "I say and she moves toward me to give me a hug But I leap back and say"go get them and I want their name I refuse to call them suit 1 and suit 2 , how ever charming they may be I don't have the mind set to remember who is 1 and who is 2. I say as she scurries out and I hear talking outside the door but it is too quiet to be legible when they come in they have sincere looks on their faces ,
Aidan bursts in and with a smile on his face he says "the people are gone ,now I can go home!"
I tell him happily" well now I have to go , Bye Aidan "
He says sadly " Bye Marzanna" as the Two men tell Aidan he has to leave the room I feel the need to cry , I know there are no tears sliding down my face but they still have the hurt
" my name is David" suit one says as he sweeps his grading blonde hair from his face as I let my dark black hair fall into mine as to cover my expression
"My name is Phil , we need you to come with us please miss..."Suit two says leaving me to fill in my name
"My first name is Marzanna and I don't tell people my last name , they say missis to often "I say as I let my grayish red eyes meet Phils humble brown eyes
"Okay Mazana "David says pronouncing my name completely wrong
"MAR-Z-Anna "I say slowly so they get it right "let's go , I will meet you at your car , the black SUV right? I pretty sure you don't want to scare everyone by leading out one new patient and a girl who looks like she is dying who they never saw before "I say as I walk into the hall leaving them stunned , when I get to the car I see them walking up
"Marzanna , I know this is no where near perfect but we need you to get in , and if you can put a blindfold on "Sydney says considerably more soft sounding than I had ever heard her
"No blindfold , I have been extremely cooperative , the least you can do is no blind fold , I know you are taking me to some extent of a hidden base and I know you have a not so well hidden agenda for me, I expect for at least the pleasure of seeing how things have changed in um let me think 23 years next month ,,,Even if I still understood where you were driving , I wouldn't care , I will probably never leave" I say as I sit next to the window as Phil looks at David and David gives him a slight nod
"All right" David says as he looks at me sadly , i sit and watch as we pull away the world I never was supposed to know of , let alone see .
