Hey guys! Trigger warning this is a depressing chapter, I don't want to give away any spoilers so just read if you want to find out but do not read if you are triggered easily. Sorry I haven't been around guys, a lot of stuff has been happening and I'm honestly not in a great state of mind so please don't be mad if it takes me a while to update. Bye for now bookworms.
(3rd Person POV)
Hoodie sat against a tree in the forest, his knees against his chest, his face buried in his knees. All that could be heard was hoodies, sorrowful cries, his heart was shattered.
-flashback to earlier that day-
Slender had sent hoodie and masky on a mission to watch a potential proxy. The boys were annoyed but obeyed their master, knowing that it wasn't wise to disobey him. They wondered around the town using the forest for cover. The towns people had noticed strange figures around so were wary and on the lookout. As masky and hoodie stalked the proxy candidate, but what they didn't know was they were also being watched. The boys sat by a tree as they watched the girl work around a small shop. They jumped as they heard a twig snap behind them. Masky was the first to jump up and face the stranger. Masky's quick reaction startled the stranger causing him to shoot masky in the abdomen. Masky groaned in pain, clutching his abdomen as he fell to his knees, his body engulfed in pain, silent tears streaming down his face behind the mask. Hoodie quickly scrambled over to masky, trying to stop the bleeding, the stranger fled once he figured out that he had shot a person. Masky's pain started to numb as he started to lose consciousness, hoodies desperate cries getting further away. Hoodie picked up his friend, no, his family, his future; tears streaming down his face and ran as fast as he could back to the mansion. He burst through the doors, masky unconscious in his arms.
"Slender!" Slender appeared in the room,
"Wha- What happened!?" He rushed over seeing the unconscious and bloody masky.
"H-He got sh-shot.." Hoodie chocked out in between sobs. Slender took masky and quickly vanished, leaving a broken hoodie in tears. Hoodie waited for two hours in the mansion. He had lost all hope and went outside wandering through the forest, the feeling of emptiness consuming him.
-back to present time-
Hoodie clutched his knees as if they were the only thing keeping him alive. He didn't know how long he had been there, but the sun was setting, he let the guilt consume him, the voices in his head taking over now that masky wasn't around. If only he had been more careful, if only he had checked behind them, if only he had gotten up instead of masky. He slowly pulled out the gun from his jumper pocket, he had lost all hope in the many hours he was alone. If masky were to die then so shall he, he decided. He lifted his head, the gun pressed under his chin, tears still streaming down his face as he took his last shaky breath. He slowly pulled the trigger.
-Time skip for an hour-
Slender teleported to hoodie, thinking he was still in the mansion but was surprised when he noticed himself in the forest. He looked down in front of him.
"Oh god..." He sighed seeing the bloody mess that he recognized as hoodie from the orange jumper. He gently picked him up, burying him before masky could find out. He had come back to apologize for leaving him alone due to him being there in masky's surgery and was going to take him to the hospital to see him, but now, now he didn't know he know how he was going to tell masky.
