// Amelia //
So far my first day back was going pretty well. No one really had the guts to come up to either one of us so it was pretty laid back. Then again, it was only lunch time so someone still had half of a school day to fuck that up for me.
Anyways, currently Melodee and I are picking out food right now. All I can say is thank god this is a rich (spoiled bratz) school so they could afford some decent food. Seeing chicken nuggets, I grabbed them while hearing a groan from behind me. "You know, typically you grab one main corse and go." came a deep voice behind me. "Yeah, well I guess I'm not typical. Or maybe I just don't give a fuck. Oh well." I said sarcastically back to him before following Melodee's movements and walking towards the register to pay. "I've decided I like you. I'm Slade" he said before sticking his hand out towards me, "I've decided that I still don't care. You should know me anyways." I said without shaking his hand. "I should? I guess that's awkward then considering I don't. You do get a lot of stares though." he said while laughing.
Following Mel to an empty table, I realized he was still following us. I don't know what it is about this guy, but he almost seems normal. As in, not a complete twat like the rest of the school. "So who are you? Someone famous?" he continued on. "When did you start coming here?" I asked with curiosity, "3 years ago, why?" he said confused.
"My names Amelia Collins." I said waiting for a reaction. "Hm, sounds familiar but I don't know you. Sorry." he said with complete honesty. Looking towards my best friend I saw that her face shown as much shock as mine probably did as well.
Leaning into my ear, Melodee whispered in my ear "Maybe we should be his friend. He isn't completely stuck up like the rest of these bitches, so why not?" her words causing a laugh to come out of my throat. "Wow, gossiping about me already? What's the newest scandle?" Slade joked cheekily.
"No, we're just deciding if we want to be your friend or not." I said with a blank face causing his smile to drop, "Shit, I didn't know this would be an audition otherwise I would've worn something nicer and made some better jokes." he said with a look of worry etched onto his face making us laugh.
"Welcome to the dark side, Slade. Nice to meet you officially." I spoke with a smirk on my face. "I'm Melodee. Never call me Melanie, ever." she said seriously before smiling again. "And you already know Amelia, so that's that." she finished.
"Nice to meet you, MeloDEE," he said while pronouncing the ending harder than needed for Mel. "I don't know about you ladies, but I'm gonna eat now." he finished taking a bite out of his taco. Following in his footsteps I picked up a chicken nugget before dipping it into sause and shoving it into my mouth. A comfortable silence washed over us while we ate and I knew already that Slade would fit along with us perfectly. Not too long after that, we finally finished our food moments before the bell rang calling us to class. "What class do you two have?" he asked as we threw away our trash. "Spanish, you?" I replied, "Same!" he nearly screamed out while scaring me in the process. We all made our way in the same direction and ended up in class on time. I immediately made my way towards the back desks and sat right in the middle of the back row with Melodee making her way to the right of me. "Uh, guys I wouldn't sit there." Slade said with an uneasy look on his face. "I don't care about whoever usually sits here. C'mon, sit down. I got this." I said with a smile/smirk on my face. Sighing he mockingly prayed before sitting down to the left of me. Soon enough the late bell rang and the teacher started, which sadly meant that we, Mel and I, were forced to introduce ourselves in spanish. Melodee was from a Mexican background and I luckily learned the language while staying with her family, it was just annoying to see and hear all of the whispering about us.
Afterwards we were able to sit down and some guy decided it would be funny to try and trip me while I was walking which ended in me kicking his leg so hard he had to go to the nurse.
Now almost 30 minutes into class a loud group of boys make their way into the classroom making everyone turn and look at the three of us in the back with pity yet also excitement for what they believed was going to happen.
Oblivious to us sitting in their seats they continued joking around with eachother while making their way down the isle towards "their seats".
Halfway down the isle the main one, I assume the "leader" noticed us and stopped with a scowl on his face. "Why are you in our seats?" he said roughly.
"Your seats? Sorry, these are our seats for today..." I trailed off with a sarcastic smile on my face, "And probably tomorrow as well." Melodee finished for me.
A look of recognition crossed his face before a sadistic looking smile graced his face, "Oh, you're that one bitch that ran away because things didn't go her way. I knew I recognized you." he said trying to push my buttons. "You're so right! Stupid mother of mine wouldn't buy me a brand new sports car unless I cleaned my room. How bitchy of her, am I right? I just had to get out of there." I said with a sarcastic look on my face while faking a 'Valley girl' voice.
"Ha-Ha. Very funny. Now get out of my seat and run back to wherever you ran off too. Or did you run away from your ignorant problems there too?" he said while visibly growing more irritated. "Nah, I actually decided to come back here to buy a new house. Got so much money I just didn't know what to do with so I had to buy something, yanno? And like we said before, these are our seats today." I smiled at him again.
"Sit down already, boys." Mrs. Fox told the boys. "You're gonna regret coming back." he spoke again before turning around and walking out.
Smirking I just sat back and listened to the teacher continue on in Spanish until the bell rang again. "Do you understand the death you've brought upon us now?" Slade quietly spoke to me with concern lacing his voice. "Relax, he isn't goijg to do anything. He's too pussy." I said before continuing, "He'll make someone else do it." I finished making his eyes widen. "She's just screwing with you, stop looking like you're going to shit yourself." Melodee said while rolling her eyes.
We were currently walking towards our last class of the day, which was photography. We had found out after Spanish that we have all but one classes with Slade which was History.
Walking into the door of the classroom we found that there were only three other students and a small petite teacher. "Hello, it's very nice to meet you! I'm Ms. Becca and I'm gonna be your teacher." she said with a sweet smile on her face. "Nice to meet you, I'm Melodee-" she said before looking at me "And I'm Amelia. It's a pleasure." I finished with a smile.
"Well, you guys can feel free to sit anywhere. We are currently in the middle of a project so I won't ask that you do it so you can play around until we're done." she told us before turning around and walking to her desk in the back."Why are you so concerned about that guy anyways?" I asked Slade, my curiosity winning me over.
"Well he's rumored to be in a gang. I didn't want them to hurt you guys an-" we cut him off with a hug from us both, "Aw, you care about us!" I gushed at him.
"Okay, okay, stop now. Let me do my work." He said while continuing with his project. "And, as I was saying before I don't want him to mess with my family either. Which includes you guys." he said with a shy smile.
"We love you too, dumb head." Mel said with a smile. "And he won't do anything to your family. I got you." I said with seriousness. "How?" he questioned. "I can get some guards to stand around where you live and where your family is at during the day. As long as that's okay with you." I said to him.Looking up at me he spoke "Why would you do that for me?" with confusion written all over his face.
"Why wouldn't you judge us because of the rumors?" I said with a small smirk.
"Touché." he said with a joking smile on his face, "Thank you guys." he ended.
"That's what friends are for." Melodee answered back to him.I'm kinda glad I came back... am I sick?
