Holiday Cabin

Chapter 4

"Oooooo ouch, aahh", I said holding onto my head attempting to stand up falling over a bit. "What the ?, the fuck just happened?", I said looking around the empty bus. I started walking to the door when I slipped on some liquid. "Shit my ass!", I gave out to myself checking on what I slipped on. It was Mountain Dew that
looked like I dropped it while drinking it or something. I looked at it in confusion and looked around wondering where I was.
I walked over to the bus and started pressing the button to open the door. It wouldn't open. I kept pressing the button almost breaking it in frustration when I noticed the handle on the door.

I sighed feeling sorry for myself. "Jesus must have hit my head pretty hard".
I attempted opening the door and it was locked. I groaned and got that small hammer to break glass incase of emergencies. I smashed the class and carefully squeezed through where the broken glass was.
As soon as I stepped out I slipped on some ice and bopped my head off the bus. "JESUS", I said carefully getting up and walking towards the cabin.

I had to walk through a bit of the forest to get there and was looking around very confused. I saw the cabin and started speeding up when I suddenly got pulled behind a tree.
"Ssshhhhhhh", Ali said putting a finger to her lips and covering my mouth with her other hand.
"Ali ! What the fuck are u doing ! What's happening!", I whisper screamed at her.
"What ? What the fuck are you on about, you told me to hide behind a tree, we are playing hide and seek remember, why aren't you in the van?", she whisper screamed back.
"Hide and seek ?", I said in thought getting floods of deja vu.
"What did you drink tonight ? And how much", Ali snickered a bit.
"Mountain dew?", I thought.
"Well don't ask me hun", she replied.
"Ohh ya I remember now ehh who's on ?", I lied and questioned.
"Lauren", she said raising an eyebrow.
"Oh yeah - HUUUUUHHHH", I gasped as an unexpected hand grabbed my shoulder. "Found ye", Lauren smirked.
"If it weren't for you", Ali said under her breathe in annoyance.

"Right who else is left to be found ?", Ali asked Lauren.
"I caught everyone, now I just have to find Emily", Lauren said rolling her eyes.

I gave Lauren a strange look still thinking of seeing this before. She looked at me confused and I shook my head and smiled.
"The others are inside go on in and wait with them", Lauren said.
"Kk", Ali replied.

We started walking to the cabin when I just had another flash of deja vu.
"WAIT", I said in my head.
BANG.

Ali's POV

Everything just switched to slow motion, I turned to look at Cara lying there on the floor, eyes open. Wide open. My mouth dropped when I looked at her and my heart just sank.
"CAAAAAAARRRAAAAAAAA!!!", Lauren screamed.
I slowly looked up at Lauren who was standing by a tree in the forest.
I looked back down at Cara still shocked. I dropped to the floor on my knees and put my hands on her arm now knowing what to do. Lauren was sprinting over.
I heard a door open and I looked over at the cabin traumatised. Their stood Courtney and Peyton looking over at us confused, they didn't realise.
"What's happening", Daniel said from the cabin peeping his head out from behind Peyton and Courtney standing in the door. That's when they realised.
"Holy shit", Daniel said pushing Peyton and Courtney out of the way.

"Cara?", Courtney questioned herself.
CARA!", she screamed and dropped to her knees when Peyton ran over.
"Talia, Ella, James and a few others started coming out now and all ran over.

I looked back done at Cara and started shaking her. Daniel dropped down by her straight away and checked her pulse. Peyton ran over and stopped when she saw her and turned away facing the cabin. All she could see was all her friends running towards her and a couple crying outside the cabin.
"It's racing, it's fucking racing", Daniel said.
Daniel started giving Cara CPR trying to wake her up. Boy she is going to be happy to hear this.

"CALL AN AMBULANCE NOW!!!", Daniel yelled when Tris ran to the phone.
Daniel took off his shirt in the freezing cold and put it up to where Cara was shot, blood pumping.
Daniel picked her up gently and brought her into the cabin.

I stood up and put my hand to my mouth, everything was still in slow motion. I looked at everyone still shocked when I dropped to my knees again and broke out. Peyton and Kayla joined me and we all hugged.
I heard sirens and I knew it was the ambulance. That was fast. They ran through the forest with a stretcher and ran into the cabin. We stood up and walked ran in to get our stuff. We were in there and she was put on the stretcher with an oxygen mask thing over her mouth. We all got our stuff and Ken grabbed the car keys. The doctors left with Cara on the stretcher and Peyton and Stuart followed to go in the ambulance with her. As much as Daniel wanted to, he couldn't go with them because they can't have that many in the ambulance.
"Wait someone needs to wait for Emily", I said. "You think Emily would have ran to the cabin if she heard a gunshot, an ambulance and screaming", Lauren said pissed and freaking out.
Okay, Josh, Jason, Elise and Charlotte, you guys wait for Emily. We'll be in touch.
Lauren said running out the door.
We all ran to the van as fast as we could. Ken got in and started the bus straight away before we all got in.
"All in?", he shouted putting his foot on one of the pedals.
"We are now", Kayla shouted back being the last one to go in and closed the door. Ken didn't hesitate and drove the car before she could take her seat.
Kayla fell and got some glass in her hand. The glass Cara must have broken to get out. "Fuck", Kayla said picking it out and grabbing onto a seat and sat down.
"Shit sorry !", Ken shouted back at her.
"It's all g!", Kayla shouted back.
"Why is the glass broken?", Talia questioned us.
"Cara told us she was locked in so she must have broken the glass to get out", I told her.
"Woah wait isn't that the Mountain Dew Emily gave Cara?", James asked.
"And why is there blood on the floor? Courtney asked.
"Shit I don't know", Ella said.

"Hey guys Jason just text me the police are there, did you call them Tris?", Lauren told us.
"Well obviously what do you expect our friend just got shot", Tris replied.
"Suppose", Lauren said.

"So we got a missing friend and a shot friend and a load of confused friends", Courtney said. "It's crazy", I said.

"Here guys I was thinking, Emily still isn't back, she didn't come back when there was a gunshot, she didn't come back when there was sirens and she didn't come back when there was people screaming and crying. What's that about?", Lauren explained.

"Hmm true it is kinda strange", Talia agreed.
"You think she has something to do with it?", Kayla asked.
"Lads it's Emily she's harmless", I told them.
"No I'd say something is after happening to her, she running, hiding, lost or she ..", Kayla started.
"Nah nah she didn't do it", Ella said a laughed a bit.
We thought for a second.
"I'd wanna hope not", Daniel said with his teeth together.
"Well we are gonna have to wait, she's no goodie two shoes either like", Kayla said to Ella.
"Hmm true but come on", Ella said with that 'really?' look on her face.

"I don't know, Emily's not the most of my worries right now", Kayla said.

We pulled into this giant hospital with a huge car park that looked like it would take forever to find a space.
Ken drove to the main door. "Everyone hop out I'll find us a spot", Ken told us and we all ran out the door with half the glass on it.

We ran in the front door and Daniel asked the lady at the reception, "Cara McCallister".
The lady did some typing and replied with "Room 287".
"Thanks". Daniel shouted the number at us and we ran down the hall.
"I can't take the elevator!", Courtney shouted.
"Me too", Lauren and a few others shouted.
"Well then ye can take the stairs", Daniel shouted running into the elevator with a few other pressing the button over and over again.
The doors opened and we ran to the waiting room outside room 287 to see Peyton and Stuart sitting down.
"Guys wait up !!", Courtney and Lauren came running panting behind them.

"Guys what's happening is she okay?", James asked them.
"She's going into surgery, they are getting ready right now, we will get more information after.
"How long will it take?".
"As long as it needs to", Peyton answered.

We all took a seat in the waiting room. Lauren cuddled into Talia, her hugging buddy. Courtney laid her head on Peyton's lap and Kayla put her head on Ella's shoulder.

We just waited.
