The man stared at his victim,

A young school girl.

She was oh-so-innocent,

The perfect target for his malicious trick.

He sat by her in the corner, showing a kind smile.

She looked up at him, wide-eyed, and started to think.

He helped her with her homework, and offered her a drink.

The man excused himself, and left for a moment.

He brought back two glasses with a sweet lime liquid.

He went to get some straws and came back to sit.

He stared anxiously at the girl, watching her take some sips.

The man did the same, looking at her lips.

The girl smiled as the man choked on the drink,

As a searing hot pain burned his throat.

He stared at his drink, and then at the girl.

She set her drink down, perfectly fine,

As the poison rushed down the man's spine.

The girl stood up to go, but stayed for a second.

She whispered a sentence and left with a smile.

The man collapsed to the floor, his hair a mess.

Taking his last breath, he saw the girl's dress.

"I always switch the drinks around, you should have drunk less."
