Ama and the others quickly moved so that they could get to Orpheo in time. She knew that they weren't going to make it, but she was determined to try regardless.
Shara had spoken to them before they'd left, telling her that it was pointless to go, as he would not be there. He would be gone, and they would never find him again.
Ama wasn't accepting it.
Orpheo had been her responsibility to protect and assist in his training. Orpheo seemed to be growing more and more powerful, and she had learned earlier from her father's friend that Orpheo had actually managed to shift into a new creature, one that he did not recognize, and he knew them all.
Ama and her pack mates all reached the area where there lay four dead massive wolves, all of them clearly shifters.
A battle had taken place, and it seemed as though that Orpheo had managed to escape after all.
But where?
And then Ama spotted the witch that had tried to take Orpheo. The witch was obviously dead, her head having been sliced off it's neck, and laying with the eyes open wide and staring in both fear and shock.
Ama smiled for a bit, feeling that maybe Orpheo was going to be alright.
Her brother spoke, sounding concerned.
"Ama, what do we do? We have no idea where Orpheo went." He said, hesitantly.
"We let him go. He can take care of himself, clearly. The witch was destroyed, and it's clear that he wants to be on his own." She said softly. Though she would miss Orpheo, she knew that the time had come to let him move on.
She shifted again and prepared to head back home.
