Chapter 6

America's POV

I walked through the doors of the lab where I study Science. I sit down at my work counter and see all the chemicals o was supposed to be testing on Friday but we ditched so I've got to do them now. I know that Potassium is more reactive than Iron so let's say that I write
Potassium+Iron Chloride -> Iron+Potassium Chloride
Iron ends up on its own and Potassium is in the Chloride. This is called displacement reaction.

I started writing about different equations about displacement reactions. Then there was a knock on the door. I was about to test out Iron and Copper when someone came up behind me. "Shouldn't a Scientist be wearing goggles and a coat?" I heard Maxon tease. "Well I've got my goggles here and today I'm not wearing a coat," I said putting my goggles on. "Stand back unless you want no eyelashes," I said to Maxon. "What about you?" He asked. I turned to him and pointed at my goggles. "Shouldn't you look away? It creates a light you know?" Maxon said. I turned back around and did the experiment. I heard Maxon squeal behind me as the metal burned in the firing flame. "No light," I said.
"But that was...I suspected a...what!" Maxon stuttered. I smiled and patted his cheek. I picked up some Potassium and showed it him. "Potassium creates the light not Iron and Copper," I told him. Then the bell went. "Great now I'm 2 lessons behind everyone else," I said covering my forehead with my hand. "Sorry," Maxon whispered in my ear. It sent tingles down my spine. I turned to him and shook my head telling him that we couldn't do this. Then I put my note book and my high in my bag and headed towards my dorm block.
