The day after went by pretty fast. I woke up, got dressed and made my way to school. When I got to school I was still so distracted that it took me time to notice that Kyle and his little group were nowhere to be found.

It was kind of nice to park my car and walk to class without being harassed.

I was early as usual so I decided to eat my breakfast. I packed a banana and a rice crispie.

I had already peeled my banana and took a bite when Mr Murphy walked in. He was early too. Class didn't start for atleast 30 minutes.

"Good morning Ms Greene.", he said as he walked over to his desk.

"Goodmorning sir.", I responded.

He sat down and took out a world religions text book. He looked like he had a lot on his mind so I didn't bother continuing this conversation.

I took out my headphones and plugged them into my ipod.

I didn't feel like reviewing so I just listened to some music until class started.

It was 2 minutes to class when people started coming in. Ashton was one of those people. He took his seat next to me and opened up his binder.

"Good morning", he said with an extremely raspy tone of voice. He still looked half asleep.

"Morning. You look dead. ", I say.

He laughs.

"I feel dead. Why does school start so early? This is not okay.", He responds as he rests his head on his desks.

" I'm not sure but it doesn't bother me." , I say as I laugh.

"Oh no. Please don't tell me you are one of those robotic students that are early for everything. ", he says.

He looks up at me and smiles.

"No. Okay Maybe. Shut up. " , I say as I shove his arm.

He begans to laugh and I laugh with him.

"So what is that? Sleeping with Sirens?", he asks.

At first I was confused but then quickly recovered.

" You can hear it?", I say pointing to the one headphone left in my ear.

" My grandmother all the way in Australia can hear that! ", he says.

I can feel my cheeks turning red.

"Ohh opps.", I respond.

He smiles. "Its okay though because I love that song. ", He picks up the other headphone and puts it in his ear.

By now Kellin Quin was on the last verse in If I'm James Dean, you're Audrey Hepburn.

Ashton rested his head back down and closed his eyes as the first period bell rang.

I couldn't stop myself from smiling.

Class ended pretty fast and before I knew it, it was time for lunch. I saw Ashton in History, third period but when the bell rang he just left so I wasn't sure of he wanted to eat together.

I went to the cafe and took a seat at an empty table. I took out some leftovers from yesterday that I found in the fridge.

I unwrapped my pizza and took a bite. Minutes later Ashton was sitting at my side.

"Hey! ", he said as he put down his tray.

"Hello", I say. " Where'd you go?"

" Cafe line. Didn't want to have to wait in a long line." , He said gesturing to the long line of people that lead to the back of the cafe.

Oh.

"I understand.", I say as I take another bite of my pizza.

"Is that cold?", he says pointing to my pizza.

"Yupp. Just the way I like it.", I say smiling.

I always preferred my pizza cold. Its just a habit of mine.

" Interesting.", he says.

"Its better than whatever that is on your plate.", I say laughing.

" Touche." He says smiling."So listen I was wondering if maybe you'd like to hangout with me this weekend. I know a few guys that are throwing a party and I would like you to come with me.", He asks.

"Oh Ashton. Are you trying to ask me on a date? " I say using my best British accent.

He laughs. "Yeah I guess. So you'll come?"

I want to go out with him but I've never been to a party. I immediately think of all the things that could go wrong.

" I don't know. I umm..", I say.

He could sense my uncertainty.

"I'll keep you safe.", he says.

Its almost as if he could read my mind.

" Okay." I say.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah." I say.

We spent the rest of lunch talking. We talked about our hobbies and our pet peeves. Ashton told me about the party and the guys who were throwing it. He has known them his entire life. They moved from Australia to Canada three years ago.

I told him about my hamster and my library of books. I told him about my plan move to New York City after we graduate to become an actress.  He didn't laugh. He supported it, just like I knew he would.

The rest of the day went by fast. When school ended I drove home and did my homework. My mother wasn't home just like I suspected so I made myself dinner.

It got dark and I was bored of sitting up and waiting for my mother to get home so I went up to my room and fell asleep.
