When I opened my eyes the next morning, I noticed the cage was on the ground.
"Rise and shine, love." I sat up and looked to see the door open and Pan kneeling beside it. "I'm sorry you had to sleep in here. Hopefully you learned to stop betraying me."
I crawled out and stood up to face him. He had the audacity to lean in for a kiss after locking me in a wooden cage all night. He pressed his lips to mine. I didn't stop him but I didn't kiss back either. I stood completely still. He pulled away with a confused look.
"Let's get back to camp... Pan." I said numbly. He looked hurt when I called him that but he just nodded silently, leading the way. When we got there, I sat down on a log and stared into the distance. He sat on a log adjacent to me and stared.
After about 6 hours of watching me from a distance, he decided it was time for bed. He walked over to me and gently grabbed my wrist, pulling me towards the tent. I put on a tshirt and pj shorts before getting a blanket and exiting the tent. I laid it out on the ground by the fire pit and laid down. 20 minutes later, I heard Pan walking over.
"Come on, let's go to bed." He said gently. I ignored him. "Now," he said with more demand. Once again, I ignored him. He was getting angry but I didn't care. Next thing I knew, he slung me over his shoulder. I kicked and screamed for help but to no avail. The boys just watched as he carried me into the tent.
"What do you want Pan?" I rolled my eyes.
"I want you to stop being a brat and go to bed." He sneered.
"Gladly." I got up and began to walk back outside but he grabbed my arm and spun me to face him.
He pointed to the bed and said, "Sleep. NOW." I sighed with defeat and crawled under the blanket. He crawled in after me. 'I'll just go back outside once he falls asleep.' I thought to myself. But, almost as if he read my mind, Pan wrapped his arm around me, pulling me into his chest and then proceeded to fall asleep while hugging me tightly to him.
I was screwed.
