I shook Peter awake the next morning. He sat up looking irritated.

"What do you want?" He growled.

"You overslept." I explained.

"Like you care." he sneered.

"Peter, I do care." I argued.

"That explains why you left me." He said, his voice breaking.

"I didn't-" I started.

"Save it." He cut me off. He got out of bed and started to leave the tent. I got up, turned him to face me, and I kissed him with all the passion I had. We stood there for a couple minutes kissing. I pulled away.

"I wouldn't leave you." I told him.

"Yeah? Well, you did bitch." He said, walking out. He thought I left? Well maybe I should! I found a bag, filled it with clothes and put my combat boots on. I walked out of the tent and to the edge of the camp.

"Where are you going?" Peter asked from behind me. I turned to him.

"You keep saying I left. I feel like you're hinting that I should. So I am." I stated.

"No, you're not." He growled.

"You can't fucking stop me. It's not like you care enough to anyway." I sneered at him. I turned on my heel and walked into the forest. I climbed a big pine tree and set my bag on a branch. Nearby, I heard crying. It sounded like Peter. I climbed to the ground and walked towards the sound. There was Peter sitting on the ground, sobbing. I walked to him and held him tight, letting him cry into my shirt.

"I fucked up. I lost my chance. I lost her! I loved her and I lost her!" he sobbed.

"You didn't lose me. I'm right here. And I always will be."
