A Bet

Isogai P.o.v

Meg is finally well and will start class today. I texted her that I'll be coming to fetch her so we could go to school together. When I arrive, I went to the main gate. I saw Kataoka waiting for me. She bid farewell to his driver, already asked permission to walk by feet.

"Ohayou. Iso." She smiled then kissed my lips

I smiled back and greeted her Good morning. She then talked about lots of things. Then she mentioned about (Y/N). Oh that's right. I forgot to tell her. Maybe it was the movies or the sweet feeling of Oka besides me. I then remembered (Y/N)'s green orbs. Tears were swelling her eyes. Yet, they were still beautiful. A smile crept into my mouth. Oka was asking me about something but I was dozing off. She waved her hand infront of me and I was taken back.

"Gumine. Oka. I was just thinking about (Y/N). She was crying. I guess she has something on her chest." I frowned

"Yeah" Sighing."She lost her first love. To cancer."

I widened my eyes. I can't believe what she's going through right now. I silently said a prayer, wishing for this guy to be happy wherever he is now. I then grabbed Oka's hand and said "Then eat lots of vegetable. I won't loose you." I smiled at her.

She smiled back "The same goes for you." Then she smacked me. "What's that suppose to mean!!"

"Ah. . . Nothing" I raise my hands up and hugged her for compensation.

We walk up the mountain. We were chatting happily when we heard rustles behind the bushes. I start to take a defensive form. I then look up at the trees. It was her. It was (Y/N). She had her hair in its usual braid.

"Catch up Karma. Bleeeh. " She shout at the redhead who is running towards us.

"Wait. Van. You'll fall." Karma was practically shout-scolding. He was reaching out like his life depended on. On this case, (Y/N) life is at risk. Ironic

"Not unless I have the energy to win the bet." She joked while holding her tongue out. "Beat you there . . . . .eh.? waaaaaaaaaah!!"  She was falling. Karma fastened her pace. She was falling. falling. falling. Ehhhhhhhhh. She was falling in my direction (Boooooooooogsssshhh)

"Uhhhhhhh." I muttered. My head hurts.

"Isogai-kun. Isogai-kun." Someone was shaking me. I slowly opened my eyes. And I saw the things I keep seeing either by accident, coincidence, or a forced condition. She was looking at me. I didn't notice before but she was glowing. She was beautiful.

"Iso. Iso. Iso." Kataoka pushed (Y/N) away and continued the unfinished business (Y/N)  left. "Tell my family, I left the windows open." I then faked my death.

"Stop it Iso." She punched me in my chest and stood up.

"Gumine. Oka. I was joking." I was patting off the dust collected in my uniform. Guess additional chores for me again.

"Aren't you gonna apologise (Y/N)?" I heard Oka in her voice that I only hear when she's mad.

She was mentally frozen only to be snapped out by Oka. "Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Sorry. Isogai-kun. Meg-chan." She bowed her head with a perfect 90 degress.

"Well, then. Come here (Y/N)" Oka's voice transitioned into a soft one. "Then would stop it with the formality?"

Then I heard her laugh and screamed "Meg!" "(Y/N)!" They hugged each other then started to arm wrestle. "Loser gets to wear to treat Ice cream."

They were seriously into this competition. Oka so cute when she's serious. Just then Oka smiled mischievously and said "I guess Karma's winning the bet." (Y/N) widened and took a little bit of her strength from her arm. Oka took the advantage and pushed (Y/N) to the ground.

"Looks like I win."

"Eh. You distracted me."

"I was just notifying you."

"Oh my God. where's Karma?"

"Just like Oka said, He's winning." I said

"Eh. Gotta run. I don't wanna see the end of this." She said while sweating so much. "Bye Bye then you two."

(Y/N) p.o.v

I ran to the top of the hill and saw Karma there, with his Horns and wings flaunted out. I sweatdropped. I saw this coming. Well, I was distracted by my cousin and Isogai-kun. What I couldn't forget was how cute he was lying on the ground. I could remember how fell down on top of Charles when I was climbing the cherry blossom. Awee. Silly me. I just had to fall off. Again. I was then back to the reality. Oh right. The bet.

"Hey, Karma. Have you grown an inch? Or you're hair is compensating that?" I tried to fake compliment in hopes he'll forget about the bet.

"Ohhhh. I did get taller and more handsome. And about that bet?" He opened his eyes from his bragging state. He scanned the area and saw that I was slowly tiptoing. I was taken by my neck. "Where do think you're going?"

"Ano. I was just checking if our classmates are here. " I twirled my loose hair.

"You aren't forgetting our bet, are you?" He showed me a picture of me poking my nose.

"Masaka. Hell no. ahe-he-he. okay fine. what is it?" I gave my voice a surrending tone. Guess what he ask may not be too bad than to be seen poking boogers.

"I want you to go with me on a date" he was blushing.

"Uhhhhhh. Guess spreading that picture would be better. ahahahaha." I jumped when he cutt me off and said "Onegai. Please." He was bowing. My eyes widened. I took a photo at every angle. But I felt his sincerity so I gave in. "Fine. When?"

"This sunday."

"Hai. Please take of me."
