-Duhsh Forest Exterior. Enter Clyde Arrowny as he looks back at the Forest, frustrated at the shadow's lack of support during his confrontation with Ninus-

Clyde Arrowny: Why didn't you help me? I could have died.

Shadow #1: We offered to teach.

Shadow #3: Yes, teach.

Shadow #2: Not to protect.

Clyde Arrowny: Well you chose a terrible time to leave me on my own.

Shadow #1: You were always alone.

Shadow #2: You are still weak.

Shadow #3: Very weak.

Shadow #2: We can only offer our strength, if you offer yours back.

Shadow #3: Offer it back...

Shadow #1: You are not yet strong enough to take on the strongest.

Shadow #2: You must learn, learn and train.

Shadow #3: Yes, train...

Clyde Arrowny: You are right, two years have passed and I have learnt nothing on my own. I rely on your aid for both stealth & execution. But no more, no longer shall I be weak. It is clear now you are not my allies, not something I can rely on in my most crucial hours. I shall reach my potential as a man, then as a shadow.

Shadow #2: You are less than shadow.

Shadow #1: Less than man.

Clyde Arrowny: I am not a man, I am not a shadow. I am Shadow, I live to see one through and one thing only, vengeance. I will have her rest in peace.

Shadow #3: What of your family?

Clyde Arrowny: I have none.
