Now this is a Myth that mostly comes from the internet. That's right, Slender Man does not originate from a campfire, but from a site called "Creepypasta". Now Creepypasta is basically a site talking about scary creatures around the world. So Slender Man is supposed to be a six to eight-foot tall humanoid. But here's the catch, Slender Man doesn't have a face. It's just a blank white piece of skin. He supposedly wears a black suit and tie and lives in the forest. His skin is pale as snow. Yeah, I know. He's terrifying. For a while, I was obsessed with Slender Man, and I wouldn't stop talking about it to my mom. Eventually, I gave up and moved on. Glad I did. I don't want to end up like the girls in the Slender Man stabbing. (I'll talk about that later)

Slender Man is usually reported near the woods, for stalking people; especially children. Other than appearing on the internet, he's put in games, like Slender, The Eight Pages, or Slender: The Arrival. He's also put on Google images and Youtube.

Slender Man was originally created on June 10, 2009, in the "Something Awful Internet Forum". The "Something Awful Internet Forum" is basically an online contest where you are given normal photos and challenged to make them look creepy or paranormal. A forum poster with the username "Victor Surge" featured a picture of two images of groups of children; where he added a tall man in a black suit.

The text in the picture described how the tall man abducted small children and took them into the woods. Eventually, the tall figure was given the name Slender Man.

Within the legend of Slender Man, there is one creepy part about him. If you find the woods where he lives in, you will find pages. They should look like this:

And if you are to come across one of these, you can take it, and embark on a dangerous journey

And if you are to come across one of these, you can take it, and embark on a dangerous journey. Once you find all the eight pages, Slender man will die. If he finds you, your vision will supposedly turn grainy, like when you reach a channel on cable that has the "white noise". Basically, a channel that you haven't purchased and will go white and grainy. So slender man will look at you, trapping you in his stare. If you're lucky enough to pry your eyes away from it, you may live and kill Slender man.

If you come across this symbol on a page or carved on a tree, then you're sure that Slender man is near you:

There has only been one homicide that involves Slender Man. On May 31, 2014, in Waukesha, Wisconsin,  two teenage middle school girls created a conspiracy against their other best friend. The two girls told their friend that they found an abandoned wooden mansion in the woods that they wanted to have a sleepover in. (Which they actually did find an old abandoned mansion in the middle of a woods) So the three girls hiked over to the mansion. The two girls took out kitchen knives and stabbed her 19 times all around her body. From there, the two girls left her to die and ran away. The girl somehow found the strength to crawl out of the woods. Luckily a man noticed her and altered the police. I was watching the news report and the newswoman said that the girl was a millimeter away from death. Crazy, right? So what the heck does this murder have to do with Slender Man. Well, when the police caught the girls and interrogated them, they confessed to stabbing their friend because "Slender man told them to". The girls are now in Jail and are sentenced to somewhere around seventy years in prison.

So is Slender man real? The answer is: No. Those girls had mental problems and messed up their whole future. I personally do not belive in Slender Man, after all; he's just an internet character created in some dumb contest. I've talked to a friend, and he believes that Slender man is an alien from another planet, observing us. He thinks that there's a whole race of Slender Men out there. (He's crazy lol). But in all seriousness, Slender Man is fake. But if you're ever in the woods, and you see a tall white figure in a black suit......... run like Usain Bolt.

Here's a documentary I found:
