I woke up to the sound of screaming.

"My baby! She's gone!" Cried Alyssa.

Annabelle.

My body went into a complete mode of fear and anger. Where could she be?

"Where's Annabelle?" I shouted to her. I cringed at my dumb question.

"I don't know! She was sleeping beside me, but this morning I woke up and she was gone!" She screamed in agony. She fell to the floor in a pool of sadness.

We woke everyone up in the house and we all met in the living room.

Arnold began to speak, "we will find her Alyssa. Everyone start looking. Faith and Kadie check the house. Gina go check the chicken coop. Alec go look in the barn. Axle go look in the horses troff.  Everyone else find your own place in the yard. I'll look at the fence." He said in a hurry.

We all scurried to find her. Calling her name we were all terrified of what we could find.

We all knew we would find her, but would we find her dead or alive?

With no time to spare we all began the search. I chose to look in the cornfields with Ryan.

We called her name repeatedly but we had no answer.

While running around the corn feild I heard Ryan shrill with sadness.

A wave of worry rushed threw me.

"What did you find Ryan?" I asked.

He started to cry and handed me a small ring that belonged to Annabelle.

Ryan blew the whistle he was holding which meant to meet back at the house.

Once we all arrive we explained how he found it near the middle of the corn field.

"Why would she go out there?" Alyssa asked confused.

No one said anything but Alec started to walk forward.

"Mom I think I know why." Alec said with disappointment.

"What? Why? Alec what are you not telling us?" She asked frantically.

"Well, for the past week she's been telling me about a maze she was going to make in the corn field. She started yesterday but didn't finish and she wanted it to be done for today. When she didn't finish it she must have decided to do it at night." He said while hanging his head low.

"Oh god." Cried Alyssa. Ryan pulled her in for a hug and they let out there distress.

We all headed off into the corn field looking for the maze.

About an hour later Axle and Kadie came across a row in the field looking like someone patted down the corn. We all started following along the path when we found what we all dreaded to see.
