I woke up with the bright sun shinning on my eye lids and warming up the blankets in Diesels bed. I reached my arm around trying to find the body I fell asleep with but I couldn't find it.

I peeled open my eyes and looked beside me to find an empty bed.

Oh well, I thought. I might as well get up and get ready for the day.

I went to the bathroom in the basement with my bag and ran a brush threw my curly, dark chocolate, brown hair.

I plucked my eyebrows and applied some mascara to my lashes.

I pulled up my dark green jeans and put on a black tank top pulling over my leather jacket on top.

After brushing my teeth I made my way up the stairs. As I arrived in the kitchen my eyes fell on Alec.

"Hey." I said.

"What's up, Babe." He said wth a wink. I rolled my eyes and poured my self a cup of coffee.

I sat at the table with Gina and we chatted about how the weather was crappy. It had rained all night and it was still raining!

"Hey have you seen Diesel at all?" I asked Gina.

"Yeah actually. About an hour ago. He seemed pretty pissed off. I think he's in the barn grooming the horses." She answer.

"Oh okay. Thanks." I said. Why would Diesel be pissed off? I guess I'll go see.

I pulled on my boots and grabbed my new pocket knife I got while going on a run. I walked out to the barn in a fast pace to not get too wet from the rain.

I opened the barn door and jumped in fast before I got hit by the big door. As it shut I couldn't see anything.

I grabbed the dusty lamp off the shelf and turned it on.

"Diesel? Are you in here?" I shouted. I got no answer but I could here some clanking noises in the distance.

I walked to the back of the barn and saw Diesel sharpening knives.

"Why didn't you answer me? Are you deaf or something?" I asked pissy. I hate it when people ignore me. It's probably my biggest pet peeve.

"Get out." He said rudely. What was his problem? Here I was all giddy about our time together last night and now he's being an asshole.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" I asked in anger. Like really? This guy must have multiple personality disorder or something.

"What the fuck did I say? Just fuck off Arianna." He sneered. Okay. I'm done with this.

I walked up to Diesel and grabbed his wrists being careful not to get in the way of the knife he was sharpening. Once I got a grip I slammed them on the table.

"Tell me." I said.

"Tell you what?" He said monotone.

"Last night we had a great time. I was actually happy. What changed in 10 hours?"

I looked into his emotionless eyes. They were so cold. They were not the eyes I looked into last night.

Diesel ripped his hands away and kicked the box full of knifes and tools with full force causing them to scatter across the floor.

"Last night was a mistake."  He sneered. My stomach dropped at his words. Why the hell did I care anyways!

"You know what? Screw you. I never should have lik-never mind."

I almost said I had feelings for him. Why would I say that?

I turned around embarrassed at my words and started walking out of the barn. Before I reached the door I heard Diesel call my name.
