Chapter 15- Secrets

Donna's POV
(After they left)

Aphmau. She has magic. A powerful magic too. It's her mothers. No. She has the potential. The potential of ubeing good or evil. Her magic is of good. But it can do damage. I won't tell her. She'll find out. All In due time.

Laurence's POV

We walked out of The Nurses office. Aphmau had a scared expression on her face. Aphmau then pulled away from me. "Aphm-" I started but she shook her head. "Don't tell Katelyn, Garroth, Nicole or Dante" she said then looked at me seriously. "Aphm-" I stared then she cut me off "can I come over after school and we can talk there". "Yeah. But are you sure you don't wanna go home. That was a lot and that looked painful. It was hard to see you like that" I said.

Aphmau's POV

"Yeah. But are you sure you don't wanna go home. That was a lot and that looked painful. It was hard to see you like that" he said. I looked at him dumbly. Did he seriously just suggest going home?

Idiot he doesn't know what you go through at home. Remember you always lie to them.

Ok first of all, RUDE. Second of all I'm not lying to them, I'm just.... Protecting them from the truth.

"What's wrong with going home" he asked me. I listened to my sub conscience. Sub is right. "Nothing. It's just were only a week into school and I don't wanna miss school" I said. I don't know how long I'm gonna be able to keep this up. "What's your next class" he asked. "I have..." I looked at my schedule. WHAT. "Werewolf class" I say questionable. HOW IN THE NAME OF IRENE. "Aph. Your a-" I swear Laurence. "NO. OF COURSE NOT. How long have you known me? And I don't have ears or a tail" I say. That's even more dumb than suggesting to go home. Oh my Irene Laurence. "Your right" he said. Thank Irene he's not that dumb. "So I'll drop you off at were wolf class and tomorrow we can go to the office in the morning" he said. "Ok" I said. He dropped me off at WereWolf class and I sat down. "Why are you sitting here" some person said rudely. Um, Excuse you for being rude. "I just sat here. Is there a problem" I said. "Yes. I sit in that seat next to you and I don't wanna sit next to a short potato" he said even more rude. OH NO HE DIDNT. HE DID NOT JUST CALL ME A SHORT POTATO. "Excuse you" I said in shock. HE DID NOT. "Oh I know who you are. Your that popular girl in your grade, Aphmau right. And you friends are Garroth, Katelyn, Dante, and Nicole. And Laurence is your boyfriend" he said. WHAT THE- WERE NOT DATEING. WHERE DOES EVERYONE GET THAT ASSUMPTION. "We're not dating" I say. "Uh-huh" he said. Then all of a sudden...... NO. Balto walked in. I forgot he's A WereWolf. No. I'm not dealing with him myself. I turn back to this rude person and say "and who are you". "Aaron. Aaron Falcon" he said nicely. IS HE TRYING TO BE NICE. WHAT IN THE. "Just please don't talk to me. Please" he said. What the. "Ok" I say questionably.

Class begins.

Aphmau's POV still

(At Laurence's house)

"Thanks again Laurence. Are you sure our friends don't know I'm here" I asked him. I need to talk to him privately. He needs to understand what happened. "Yeah. Aph. What happened at the nurses office" he asked. I started to shake. "Both of them. Donna and Hyria, are my aunts" I said. He looked shocked. "Let me explain" I say and he nods. "There's something I didn't tell you when we were at our tree. Hyria tricked me into buying the rose. I can't remember what she said exactly but, she said something I believed. I was 8 so you can't blame me. Anyway. The reason I didn't remember my family is because of Donna" I said. I then explained what happened that night. "So what about your family now" he asked. They still don't remember me. And I'd like to keep it like that" I said. "Why. If I had family that didn't remember me I would find a way to make them remember" he said. I don't need them. My family. I'm fine. Well not really but whatever. "That's it. That's the reason. You can't force memories. And I'm fine. They weren't. They. They've had a rough past because of my mother. And with her out of their memories. Their fine now" I explain. "Ok. But hey. Let's think positive. Tomorrow is the field trip. I'm so excited. Aph. Have you ever been to a theme park" he asked. "Well....... No" I said. I've never been to a theme park. Huh.  I've never noticed that. Weird. "Sweet I'll be on your first roller coaster. It'll be awesome. I think you'd like them. And I'll make sure you have fun there. The first time has to be the best" he said. I smiled at him. I swear. We're both 16, but sometimes I think he's 8. I started laughing at the thought. "What are you laughing at" he said looking at me with a smirk. "You" I said still laughing. "ME?" He said confused. "We're both 16, but sometimes I confuse you for an 8 year old" I started laughing harder. Then he started laughing along. We were sitting there laughing for 3 minutes and then I stopped. I felt a sharp pain in my side. "Ow" I whispered to myself. Then I got a reality check. I checked my side. I forgot I had a huge gash there. "Aph. What happened" Laurence asked worriedly. He then looked at it. He touched it accidentally. "Gah. Ow" I said. I tried to hold in the pain. "Follow me" said. He took me to the bathroom. The same one when we had the sleepover. He put a wet washcloth on it cut and held it there, putting little to no pressure on it. "What happened this time" he asked as he knew I would have an excuse. Quick come up with something. "I was helping my dad with his car... And there was a pole side ways... And I didn't see it. And it scratched me side" yeah ok. That's a lie.

Lie detector. Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep Beep.

Whatever.

"Oh, that sounds painful" he said. Good he bought it.

Laurence's POV

Are you serious Aphmau. I'm not the smartest person on the planet but, I'm also not the dumbest. I'm just gonna play along till I know what's really going on. "Oh, that sounds painful" I say. Damn I should be an actor. That was good.

Yeah ok.

I finally took the washcloth off her side and put a bandage on it.

Back to Aphmau's POV

I look at the time. Oh shoot. It's 4:00. I have cheer practice at 4:30. And Laurence has football at the same time. "Laurence We have to go i have cheer practice and you have football. Did you forget today's the first day of the season" I say quickly. Good thing I always have my cheer stuff in my bag. And we're at Laurence's house so he's good. I'll change in the Bathroom. "Oh yeah. Um Aph. Your cheer cloths" he said. "In my bag. Not let's go or we'll be late" I said. He went to his room to get changed and I stayed in the bathroom and got changed. "My dad will-" he started. But like always someone has to interrupt. "Let's go guys" Hayden said. We both run to the car. "Thank you Hayden for the ride" I said to him. Yay. I don't have to walk like any other day. "No problem. If you wanna do this again or anytime you both have Practice you can come over. I know Laurence enjoys your company" he said. Oh my Irene he's an angel from heaven. But wait what. The last thing. I look at Laurence who's..... Blushing. WHAAAA. My face is heating up. No I'm blushing too. Change the subject. "Thank you. Maybe we will" Oh my Irene what did I just say. "So. Are you excited for the season" Hayden asked Laurence. Thank you Hayden for changing the subject. "Yeah. We have new players this year. I don't know who yet. I just know their good" Laurence said. "Same here. More people joined the cheer team too" I said happily. "Nice. Well it looks like we're here" Hayden said. We left the car. "Good luck Aph" Laurence said. "Good luck Laurence" I say back, and we parted ways.
