Everyone At Jo's (Part One)

"Hey dude. Why so sulky? And what's that?" Jack asked as I walked over. He was sitting with Katie and Jasmine under a tree. We had been sitting under the tree since we were freshmen and we spent most of our free time there.

I sat down and told them what had happened, from what happened at lunch to art class.

"We saw what happened at lunch...," Katie said.

"And we know how that must've felt...," Jasmine chimed in.

"Pierce did it, as usual, I swear that guy hates your guts," Jackson finished. They often did that while speaking, and if I'm being honest so did I.

Pierce was this jock, we used to best friends, but now we hate each other. His hate doesn't only extend to me, he hates Jack too, but that's only because we have a soccer field but no football field, and he basically hates the whole team is literally shit. And as much as I hate to admit it, he's the best player we've had in years.

"And maybe she was just in shock, I've seen your drawings, they're really good, maybe she didn't expect you to give it to her," Katie said.

I shrugged. "Maybe."

"Can we see it?" Jasmine asked.

"Yeah, sure," I said and took it out.

They all stared at it with mouths open wide.

"That is amazing dude," Jack said after about two minutes, and Jasmine and Katie nodded their heads in agreement.

"Yeah, thanks, how were your classes?" I changed the subject and put the folder with the drawing in my bag.

Jack began talking about Amanda, this girl in his history class he liked, but I was only half-listening to him, and by the time Katie had begun talking about her biology class I was lost in thought; wondering what Alexa was up to and if she missed me like I missed her.

Eventually they asked for more information about the date and we talked about that until school ended and I waited to see her.

In little over a minute I saw her walking over and she smiled when we locked eyes, while Jack made funny heart symbols with his hands.

When she came over, we all stood up.

"Hey," I said, smiling so hard my cheeks hurt.

"Hi you," she said to me, and glanced at my friends, and i realized that they weren't all introduced.

"Oh, umm, you know Jack, this is Jasmine and this is Katie," I said, indicating them. "Jasmine and Katie, meet Alexa."

They all waved and smiled with each other.

"So where are you guys headed?" Alexa asked while looking only at me.

It was Jack who answered. "How about Jo's? That's where you two went yesterday right?"

She blushed a little. "Uh, yeah, would it be okay if my friends came too?"

"Yeah, of course," Jasmine and Katie said at the same time. I noticed Jack looked nervous, and a few seconds passed and I realized why, Amanda was one of Alexa's friends.

Alexa took out her phone and called them, it was only then that her eyes left me.

When she hung up she turned back to us. "They'll meet us there," she said, as her face wore a smile that could light up a town.

I broke out of my reverie to see Jack looking even more shaken.
I was about to go talk to him but Jasmine and Katie had taken his hands and began walking for Jo's.
