"Let go, idiot, I have to go to school. Papa will kill me if I don't go to the college today." I hiss at Ivan, trying and not succeeding in breaking out of his hold as he just grips tighter onto my waist and I fall back onto him with a huff.
"Ivannnnn, I'm going to be late," I whine.
"Do you actually care about going to school?" His question is muffled by my hip, where he has his face pressed into my body.
"Getting my law degree? Hell yeah." I say.
He groans at my answer and lets go of me and rolls over. I smile softly at him before getting out of bed and running to the bathroom. Thanks to lazy bones back there, I only have an hour to get ready and be out the door in time for my first lecture.
Shower. Screw make up. Run a brush through my hair. Dash to the wardrobe. Dress. Curse the man in my bed for wasting my time. I run out of my wardrobe and go back over to the bed. I lean over Ivan and poke his face.
"What?" He grumbles at me and bats my hand away from his face.
"I'm going. I'll see you later."
"And you had to poke me in the face to tell me that?" He says.
"Yep," I grin at him and kiss him on the cheek and dance out of his arms before he can pull me back in.
"Are you serious? Just that for the entire day? That is cruelty woman!" He shouts after me as I leave my room laughing.
I walk down the hall and check in on Kiana. I frown at the tear stains on her cheeks and run my fingers through her hair. I lean over her and brush a kiss against her forehead and she gives a little sigh in her sleep. Two weeks since the witch left and she still cries in her sleep. I get up off her bed and walk over to her cupboard and lay some clothes out for her to wear, otherwise, she'll end up running around in some summer outfit and get sick.
I walk out of her room and close the door before going downstairs, having breakfast and getting into my car. No one else is up, so I have my pick of the cars and go straight for the matte black Audi R8. Flashy car, but not as attention seeking as the Ferrari 458.
Time for law school.

Me: Dad, I'm being followed. U didn't have anyone tailing me @ school did u?
I set my phone onto the table I was sitting at in the library, where I was going through all my textbooks and marking the chapters I needed for this semester. I look at the current chapter I was on and mark the page with a sticky note. Shut up, yes I know, I just like to be prepared. My phone vibrates on the table and I dive for it, praying to God I wasn't going to get scolded by the librarian for having my phone on vibrate.
Papa: No, I didn't. Where r u now?
Me: School Library. I noticed it when I was in the car, someone was tailing me, but the shape of the person following me doesn't look familiar.
Papa: How many lectures do u have left?
Me: None, but I just got all my textbooks and figured I go to the library and do some work before going home to get Kiana so I can take her to the doctors.
Papa: Sorry sweetie, I know how much u enjoy getting your work done and dusted but u need to come home now. It could b tht gang or the witch, so I don't want to take any chances.
Someone shushes me and I shoot an apologetic look in their direction and switch my phone to mute.
Me: Give me 5. Got to pack up my gear and I'll call u when I get out of the library.
