Chapter 36

Recap: Skylar encounters an old enemy from her past.

A loud crash was heard seeing someone getting thrown out the building.

Showing Skylar on the ground, hissing in pain, before hearing running footsteps.

The group of wizards finding Skylar with torn clothes and beaten, breathing heavily in a dent on the ground

She flicking her eyes opened a little, and whispered, "What happened?"

The group of wizards looks at each other before Rogue volunteered to pick her up.

They started walking away from the area when no one was looking at Skylar had a sinister smile, before she returning her normal stance.

Frosch was walking behind Rogue with Lector.

The exceed felt uneasy about the presence of Skylar. They thought maybe that was an effect after something took over her body.

When they arrive at the hotel, Wendy and Chelia quickly look for Porlyusica.

Rogue laid her down on the hotel bed.

"Thank you." She said softly, as he nodded, before closing the door shut.

Skylar didn't notice Frosch and Lector on the end of her bed on the ground.

"Man, he hit me hard enough. I think he fractured one of my ribs. He owes me big time, but I have to wait for the signal." She sighs, while Lector was covering Frosch mouth to not say anything. Lector felt something uneasy of that statement, she has made. She does sound and act the Skylar he knows, but she doesn't seem to feel like the one that he knows.

Wendy and Chelia open the door, as Porlyusica was right behind them.

"Child, you have to stop hurting yourself," Porlyusica said, making Skylar chuckled.

Wendy went to the other side as Chelia was on the left side of the bed, holding out their hands on top of her stomach.

"Ouch! That hurts."

The exceeds took the opening to leave the room, but grabs Carla along with them. Surprising her as they walk out the room.

"Carla, don't you see anything different about Skylar," Lector asked.

"No, She is acting herself. If you do think she is, imagine being in her shoes of being controlled by someone and don't remember a thing that happened." Carla pat on his shoulder.

"She is fine," Carla said, before walking back to the room.

"Lector?" Frosch tugs his arm, "I know. It seems we are the only ones that pick up something is strange about Skylar."

"Let's hope she is back to normal tomorrow morning."

The next day, Skylar was trying to unlock her phone, but couldn't.

"What is the damn password?" She mumbled to herself, walking down the hall.

"Skylar!" She glances down to see Chloe as an idea pop in her head,

"What is it? Chloe." She asked

"Everyone is waiting for you downstairs," Chloe replied.

"Oh, Sorry I overslept." She smiled childishly and scratched behind her neck.

"Chloe, do you know my password on my phone?" She asked as Chloe looked at her confused.

"You never told me, more like refusing to do so," Chloe answered.

"Oh okay," Skylar said, before walking down the hall to meet the team at the cafeteria area.

Rogue was behind her and taps her shoulder, making her turn around. "Skylar, Could we talk about what happened yesterday at the bridge?" Rogue asked nervously, scratching behind his neck.

Skylar looked dumbfounded and tilted her head, "Hm, What happened yesterday?"

Rogue's eyes widen and shaken his head, "Never mind, It wasn't that important."

"Oh okay. I will just go and eat. Talk to you later." Skylar says, turning around and walks over at the team, and automatically fake smiles.

She takes a seat next to Lucy, who asks her, "What did Rogue want?"

"He wanted to talk about something about a bridge, sadly I don't remember anything that happened yesterday." She says dull tone.

"Are you feeling well? Sky." Erza asks, Skylar looks up at and nodded. "Yeah, everything is fine."

Before dinner arrives and everyone digs in, as she sneaks a few glances over at Natsu. 'Dragneel, you won't see it coming.' She smiles evilly before quickly shaking it off and digs in her food. Making sure no one see her smile.

'Rogue Cheney seems to have strong feelings for Skylar.' She thinks, making a mental note about him.

Skylar was walking around the in, and looking around for any signs of any wizards, before she pulls out a mini crystal ball and enters an empty room, closely the door barely, so she could see if anyone was coming.

Puts down the crystal ball on a table, before taking a seat. Brushing her hair back, as the black hair slowing turns blond. "How is it going?" She looks down at the crystal ball seeing her master. "Everyone believes, so no risk of exposing my mission." She says, with a sly smile and crossing her arms.

"Good. Continue on." her master says.

"How is the plan going?" She asks, gaining her master an evil grin on his face.

"Excellent. The way it is supposed to be going. The creation is almost complete. Bye now." her master disappears from the crystal ball screen.

She sighs, before looking at the door to see Frosch. Frosch runs as she stood up and chases the cat.

"Rogue! Help Frosch." Frosch screams in fear, as the imposter of Skylar's hair, turns back to black.

Frosch runs in a room where Sabertooth and Fairy Tail were sharing the living room area. Rogue kneels down as Frosch runs to him.

"What's wrong?" He asks his exceed, who had tears in her eyes,

"Skylar is not real." She muttered to Rogue, who looks up to see Skylar walking in.

"There you are Frosch, I was looking for you," Skylar says, with a fake smile, but realistic at the same time.

Rogue stands up, as Frosch hold on his pants, cowardly behind his leg. "Why is Frosch scared?"

Skylar walks over to him and puts on an innocent face with a soft stare. "I didn't mean to scare Frosch that badly. She walks in getting me off guard. I did use my magic, but I stop right away when I saw her. I promise. I have been on the edge lately. You know everything that has happened. You believe me right." She softly said, staring at his red eyes and slowing putting her hand on his chest.

Rogue keeps quiet as his response. He never saw Skylar trying to flirt with him, but it felt completely wrong. The Skylar, he knows is inexperienced with anything with flirting and dense when it comes on knew guys are flirting with her in public.

"Frosch is telling the truth." Frosch pleaded, and tugged on his pants.

"Who do you believe? Rogue." Skylar leans forward as he slows at her closely at her every movement.
