Chapter Twenty-One: The Riddle.

Monto was persuading Senior Mang to tell us what he knew about the Corona but he is persistent. He won't budge. He ignores him and kept on drinking his beer. It seems that he won't easily to get drunk.

I wanted to ask him about Sirens. The fact that he knew that I shouldn't be here tells me that he knew what I am. The question is how did he know about sirens? I thought that the sirens were already forgotten because of the past. However, I don't want to risk knowing it if Kaden and Monto is here.

"If you have never been in Corona, how did you know how to get there?" I asked curiously, interrupting Monto on his pleading. Senior Mang gaze met mine his eyes are full of wonders.

"My great grandfather told me," he answered, "He told me that his grandfather was a crew on one of the seekers of the treasure. They found the clue to get there however they never reached it, they failed so they returned back with empty hand. They knew about the clue because it was given to them by an unknown person from Kanna. That person also gave them ideas on what they can find at Corona," he looked at me with knowing eyes, "Only few people knew how to go there but only lucky people can return."

"We wanted to know what's in there."

"There is more to find in there. Not only treasure," he stared at me.

"And what is that?" I asked, staring back at him.

He looked at Monto and Kaden before he returned his gaze at me, "Do you really wanted to know? Or you already know?"

What does he mean by that? I don't know anything and it's confusing me.

"Whatever it is, whatever danger that was on the way there, we will find a way to surpass them and find the treasures," Kaden interrupted in a determined voice.

There was a long pause, as if Senior Mang was thinking deeply. I could still hear Monto silently begging at him but he ignored him, he was only staring at the half empty bottle of his rum. Then he suddenly said, "Fine, I'll tell you how to get in there but I will only tell it to the lady. The two of you get out of my house."

I stared at him curiously.

"What?" Kaden exclaimed, like he wanted to disagree.

"This is good that he agreed, we better comply at his conditions," Monto said to him, "Let's just wait outside of the house."

I looked at them, "Yeah, I'm fine and besides I don't think he could do anything wrong at me, especially on his state."

"Alright, but only twenty minutes," Kaden demanded and he stormed out of the house. Before Monto followed him he said, "I appreciate this Senior Mang, thank you very much."

Senior Mang scoffed, "Thank me when you return successfully with the treasure on your hand."

Monto didn't say anything and walked out of the house.

When we were both left inside I spoke first, "You know what I am."

"Yeah, I do. My great grandfather tells me about sirens and how they were lost and forgotten. But you have a different beauty that can't hard to miss and that beautiful red hair of yours, it's not very human like," he replied, "What are you doing in here?"

"My name is Alison Evans but they call me Ali. I was raised by Maura, she is a human from Talith. She told me that one night a woman was knocking on her door with a baby on her arms. She gave me to her and she left. Maura doesn't know who she is but she said we were very look alike and her name is Diana. That's all I know. I thought I was human but I was different from others. And then lately, I met Jacq, she is a witch and she told me that I am a siren," I explained.
