Chapter Twenty-Two: Preparations.

<ALI's POV>

"So we have to solve this riddle?" Bob groaned.

"You just don't want to think hard," Damian teased and Bob scowled.

"Let me see it," Harry asked and I gave him the paper. He read it again,

"Seek you shall find

Things I wish it was mine."

"I think it was just saying about the treasure," Boris stated and they agreed.

Harry read the next part again,

"I say it's not an easy quest

For you to travel at the west."

"Basically it tells us that it is a dangerous quest to find the treasure and the second line means that we need to travel at the west?" I said.

"Yeah I think that was what the riddle wants to tell us," Harry agreed.

"Others tried but failed

Few came back but now never sailed.

For life is the price of the lost treasure

Beware, for it will be a great torture."

"It was just trying to warn us about how dangerous the adventure is," Monto commented, "So, we will sail to the west?" he looked at Kaden for confirmation.

He nodded, "We will sail at the morning."

"No!" Jacq disagreed, "We still have a play tomorrow remember? We can't just ditch it everyone was waiting for our play!"

Everyone groaned. Well, I think they all wanted to ditch the play.

"Don't act like that!" she scowled, "Besides we can't break the hearts of those children and Lieutenant Pryce and his men are visiting us every now and then, it's like they are watching our every move."

"Alright, alright," Kaden sighed in annoyance, "We will leave the day after tomorrow. We'll perform first at the town plaza and we'll go. Just stay on your acts."

Everyone seems not really like the idea of performing but since they can't say no and the situation is already dangerous they all agreed, forcefully.

Harry gave the paper to Kaden to keep and everyone started to leave. They say goodnight since it's already late at night. I was ready to go to bed too but Jacq called me.

"I have to talk to you," she said, "Together with Kaden." Kaden was still on his chair but arched an eyebrow at her.

Everyone left already and only the three of us stayed. I sat again on the chair and listened to what she has to say. "After the performance Victoria and I will return to Florin."

"You will go now?" I whispered sadly. The thought broke my heart because she has been a good friend even though for a little time. And she is also the only girl I could talk on the ship and more importantly she knew what I am. Honestly, I am a little attached to her now.

She smiled faintly, "I have to go. This is not the place where I should be and I was happy to meet all of you especially you Ali. I'm sorry for the things that I did wrong but in the end I found new friends. However, at the end of the day we are still different people and our future are different too. We have to part ways, I'm grateful that you are on my way and now I need to continue walking."
