She could see him the way he used to be, acting like a 10 year old but never wanting to hurt anyone. There she was, the fat kid with the frizzy curls that everyone made fun of, and there he was riding his bike in the distance while he whistled to all the girls.

Riley Perrin-Wheeler opened her eyes. This was the 4th time in a month that she'd dreamed about Ben. At least this time it was a good dream. She rolled over and saw Emma sleeping peacefully on her back, with Danny on the other side. This was only the second time that Riley had woken up to a dry bed since they'd moved, Emma wasn't ready to go to her own bed and still wet the bed when she had nightmares. Parker was asleep next to Riley, sucking his thumb and snoring, for a 10 month old he sure snored loudly. Riley's mind went back to Ben. She'd loved him for so long, she'd been there since the beginning when he found Emma on his doormat, and now here she was married to Danny, the mama to three kids and a big time lawyer. She quietly got up and went downstairs. She started the coffee and then went to the big chest in the dining room, she opened it and started rifling through the contents. She pulled out the picture of Ben and her and Emma. "Ben, I hate you. And I love you. And I don't know if I ever want to see you again." Danny came in and saw his wife with the photo. He laid a hand on her shoulder and said "I think you should at least talk to him." She stood up and said, "I don't know what I'd say, I don't even know if I want to see him." Danny turned her around and looked into her eyes. "What does your heart tell you to do Riley?"
