Lost Hearts.

"Go. I'll be fine."

"Yes. I do." Ariana walked over to Demi and sat next to her. She folded her legs together and grabbed onto Demi's arm. "I'm so sorry-" she began. Demi shrugged away.

"I don't need your pity Ariana." Demi spat. Ariana frowned and considered sticking up for herself, but quickly reconsidered as she realised Demi's current situation. "I know, I just want to be a friend." Ariana stated. Demi rolled her eyes and she looked up to see the door open.

"Alright ladies, lights out." The woman who roamed the halls called out as she gave Demi a wink. Demi faked a smile and walked over to shut the light, before she walked over to her bed. "Demi-" Demi rolled over to face the wall, as she ignored Ariana's existence. Her eyes shut and she dreamed of a perfect utopia.

Vanessa and Nick had been sitting on the porch for around 5 minutes and they hadn't be saying anything because Nick was still crying. He eventually stopped crying in Vanessa's shoulder and looked up to her. He chuckled at her worried face as he sniffed. "you must think I'm the biggest wimp ever." Vanessa shacked her head in a 'no' but she didn't smile. Even though, she knew Nicks heart was with that other girl- it didn't hurt any less. She had really fallen for him.

"I'm sorry V." Nick sighed, Vanessa nodded and played with her fingers. The air around them began to intensify and both were finding it hard to breathe. You could almost cut through the awkwardness and the suspense.

Nick sighed and placed his hand on Vanessa's shoulder. "go. I'll be fine."

Vanessa nodded again and got up. She left Nick sitting on his own while she walked back to her house. She had been waiting for him to ask her to leave- Vanessa needed to move on from Nick no matter how hard it was for her.

Nick out his head in his hands and considered going out to drink, but what good would It do? he'd forget everything,yes- but only for a short period of time; and when he'd wake up again, it'd be 10x worse. he decided just to sit on the porch- and sleep there.
