Chapter 2
I again for the eighth time today rejected Jade's pleas for me to attend the party with her. I had grown tired by now and decided to set her a challenge... "I tell you what, get Chase to go and I will go?" I stated, eyebrow raised. She smirked evilly "Done." Was all she said and walked away to find him. Peace at last!
I entered last lesson and seated myself comfortably in the left back corner of the room, waiting for them to enter. They came and I couldn't help but snicker at Chase's face, he looked relieved as he saw me and realised Jade was on the other side, however he forgot that this is maths. Meaning Jade had limitless amount of rubbers to target him with and she never misses ever!
Rubbers had failed her, unsurprisingly. She slid him a note which made him groan. "Fine! I'll go to your stupid party!" She smirked and falsely replied "Great! So it starts at 8:00 I'll see you guys there, byeee!" "Jade!" Chase called "Promise?!?" she laughed "Promise C!"
I was walking home with Chase and I was tormenting myself about why he gave in so easily. We had been walking for awhile and it was bugging me what they'd promised, so I gave into my temptation "What has J promised you C?" I asked, he smiled "You'll see hopefully Court." Was all he said and we continued to walk as though nothing had happened...
I got near home and hugged Chase before I went down my street. He went down his. We lived behind each other ever since we can remember and have been there with each other forever! I waved to him from my window to say bye and began to change. I closed my curtains because even though I trust Chase, he is still a hormonal teenage boy.
Vest, sweatpants, trainers and hoodie. Down I went to the kitchen, grabbed my glucose water and sprinted off to my back garden. Training time!
I went to the shed, got my mat, dumbbells and other training gear, then I locked the shed back up. I hug my punchbag on the tree, got my mitts and began to pound it with all my might, until my energy was almost fully drained. I dropped my mitts and low we're the bag to the grassy surface. I grabbed my drink and took my time to finish it. Content with my level of hydration, I now lay down my mat grabbed the 5kg dumbbells and began my toning exercises.
Three hours later I finished, packed everything up, only then did I notice I had an audience. "Well aren't you quite the athlete?" He mocked, I rolled my eyes. "Why are you here? Do you even know me?" I asked annoyed and very ready to take a shower which he was keeping me from. "Ouch!" He faked hurt "Courtney baby, that hurts" he stepped closer to me. I began to stiffen, this slim ball is not serious! He continued to move ever closer, smirking and being a damn right nuisance "Get the hell out of my garden and stay the hell away from me!" I growled "Baby! He began. "Don't baby me Kirk! Leave or I will make you!" At first he faked hurt, then he seemed amused "I'd like to see you try baby." That final statement was all it took!
I grabbed him by the neck and he must've thought I was going to kiss him as he leaned forward and I swung a solid fist towards his cheekbone. Score! It landed perfectly and as he stumbled I put him in a headlock and proceeded to march him out of my garden and give him a good kick too, for good measure "Bye baby." I retorted and left for my shower.
