Cas' POV
"Dean?" I said getting up from the couch.

"Hm?" He said still eating his pie.

"So, I just thought about this right now. But, what if you live with your brother for a while? I mean, you would be safe and you wouldn't have to worry about any vampires trying to kill you." I suggested.

"The only few times that I have visited him, he's barely there. I only get to see him for a few minutes and then he's gone for like, 2 days at a time. I'll be lonely." He said looking a bit sad.

"Do you want to see your brother?" I asked him.

"Of course I do." He said and looked down at the ground.

"But?" I asked him.

"I don't really think he wants to see me. I mean, he never calls or texts me, ever. It's like he's pretty much erased me from his memory." He said sadly.

"I'm sorry I brought it up, Dean. I didn't mean to make you sad." I said and I gave him a hug.

"It's ok, Cas. You didn't know." He said and hugged me back tighter.

"I'll take you to see your brother if you want me to." I said.

He nodded.

"Can you come with me, please Cas. Just so I'm not lonely." He asked looking at me again.

"I'm sorry, Dean, but I can't." I said to him apologetically.

"Why?" He asked.

"Because, if I go with you, who's going to look after your bunny?" I said pointing to the bunny cage.

"Yeah, good point." He said.

It wasn't just because someone needed to watch Dean's bunny but because I don't know what humans do for fun. Plus, I didn't want to make Dean uncomfortable with me being there and then us just being bored the whole day.

I hunt things to kill them. Dean doesn't like killing things. Dean doesn't like hunting. We're two were different people. We're not even the same species. I'm a killer and Dean's not.

How are him and I even friends now? This friendship between him and I is wrong. What if I bite him one day and I can't stop drinking his blood? He could die with me around. I need to end this friendship or whatever Dean and I have right now. This wasn't right. I just need to talk to him.

"Dean..." I said and swallowed the lump in my throat.

"Yeah Cas?" He said getting up and putting his dish in the sink.

I looked down at the ground before I looked back up again.

"Never mind, Dean." I said.

I couldn't do this to him.

"Excuse me for a minute." I said and went into my room.

Once I was in my room I let out the tears I was holding back.

I didn't know what to do. I couldn't continue to be his friend but at the same time I couldn't just abandoned him.

Dean slowly opens my bedroom door and he comes into my room.

"Are you ok, Cas?" He asks concerned.

"Did I do something? Was it me?" He asked concerned again.

"No, it's not anything you did. It's not you, Dean. Don't worry." I said wiping my tears away.

"Then what is it, Cas? I want to help. Please Cas? We're friends now." He said.

"That's just it, Dean. We're friends. Dean, we're not even the same species. You're a human and I'm a vampire. I'm a killer, you're not. What if one day I bite you for some reason and you end up dying because of me. I couldn't live with myself if I ever did that to you. You're not safe with me in your life. You need to be with people that are human and not killers like me." I cried and cried as I spoke to Dean.

He pulled me into an embrace and holds me tight. I embrace him back and I cry into his shoulder. The pain I was feeling was too much for me to handle.

"I'm sorry, Dean. I don't want to leave you but at least you'll be safer without me in your life. So that I can't hurt you. So that you can have human friends." I say and wipe my tears away.

"Cas, you saved me the first time we met. You killed another vampire for me." He reminded me.

"But Dean, that wasn't really me saving you. That was just to earn your trust so that I could kill you later on. That wasn't actually me saving you." I said as more tears started running down my cheeks.

"But you still saved me, Cas. What I'm trying to say is that, if you stay with me, you could protect me. You kill and you can kill more vampires if they try to attack me. Or if any other supernatural thing wants to kill me, I have you by my side to protect me. You could be my protector." He said.

"You have a point there, Dean. That's better than us not being friends." I said to him.

"We can still be friends." He said.

"I think I'll just be your protector for now." I said and he nodded his head. He said ok.

"Here." I said and took out a piece of paper and a pen.

I then write down my phone number on the paper than hand it to Dean.

"It's my phone number. Just in case you're in trouble, you can call me, and I'll be there fast to protect you." I said.

"Thank you, Cas." He said.

"You're welcome, Dean. Now, you should probably pack a bag. I'm going to take you to see your brother." I said.

He smiled and said, "Really?"

I nodded.

"Thank you, Cas." He said smiling.

"You're welcome, Dean." I say. He gets a bag and he starts packing some of my clothes. I'm fine with it because I know he doesn't have any other clothes that he can wear. Once he finishes we walk out of the house. I use my powers to lock the door from the inside. I loved doing that! It was so awesome!

I took off my shirt and spread my wings. They were huge black wings. I grabbed Dean's waist from behind and said, "Hold on tight."

Then, I flapped my wings and we were off to Dean's brothers' house. He told me where to go. It took us 3 hours and 40 minutes to get to Sam's house. I dropped Dean off at the front door, said bye to him, and took off and headed back to my house.
