Mei is on her way to her auntie's house in Azalea Town when she encounters a strange hut in the woods. She soon finds out that a guardian lives there - a guardian that can travel through time.
But the region of Johto is in great danger. Team Mystic...
Should she walk over to it? It definitely didn't look like a human. It could be dangerous. Her mother told her that bad things happened to people who talked to strangers. Maybe just a little bit closer......
Mei slowly jogged a few steps forward. She stumbled on a jagged rock and fell on the grass. Her duffel fell of her shoulder and her food stash spilled out. The creature turned around and moved- or rather glided towards her.
It was a pokemon. But Mei had never seen anything like this before. It had a green body and head (in which the top was a darker green) which was shaped like a paintbrush, with two green antennas with blue tips. It had blue eyes which were outlined with black, and it's chest and arms were a light green and the rest of it's body was a darker shade. Two transparent wings sprouted from it's back, and they fluttered with they were being used.

The pokemon cocked it's head, as though it was studying Mei, who stood as straight as a ruler, not knowing what to do.
"Hello, traveler. What brings you here?" said a voice in her head. It sounded soft and warm, like her mother's.
"Um, I was...on my way t-to my aunties house, and I um, got lost" stammered Mei.
"I see. So, what are you doing in my house?" said the voice.
"Well, I, um, I was really tired, and I thought I'd just have a rest, I guess" she said sheepishly. "By the way, who are you?"
"I am the Guardian of IIex Forest. I protect all living things from bad things" said the Guardian.
Mei didn't know that such thing existed. Most pokemon didn't have some sort of special title. This one must be really special.
"Um, ok, Guardian, can you at least help me get home?" asked Mei. She had no idea how to get to Auntie Kath's house.
The Guardian smiled.
"Ok then".
Mei thanked the Guardian, then turned towards the glass screen door. The pokemon shook it's head.
"I will take you a faster way" it said. It clicked it's fingers.
Suddenly a thick, fluffy cloud appeared out of thin air. Mei stared in shock. This is pure magic, she thought. The Guardian flew up into the air, then gestured to her that she should climb up onto the cloud. Mei did, then looked to the green creature, as if to say that they were leaving. The Guardian held up it's hand.
"One more thing".
"What?"Mei said curiously.
It looked down at her from her position in the sky.
