ZAYN'S POV

I woke up earlier than usual this morning, I had a meeting with the boys so I had to get out quick. I checked on Carly and she was still asleep so I decided to leave a little note on the kitchen counter.

Hey Carls,
Had to leave early 2day, didn't want to wake you. Be back around seven tonight so I need you to do something for me.
I still didn't get an answer yesterday, to my question. So, will you go on a date with me? Can't wait for your answer babe,  so text me when you read this please? Really have to go now.

Grabbing her keys, so I could let myself in, I pulled a beanie over my hair and walked out the back of the estate. I didn't bother checking my safety with management, because to be honest, they havent helped much lately. Lucky for my there were only about six directioners outside, so I gave them a couple of photos and was on my way.

The whole journey there I was only thinking of three things.
1. How is our new song coming along?
2. What is Carly going to think of my note?
3. Am I under the speed limit? I was running late as it was.

CARLY'S POV

I woke up as I heard the door slam, I guess management let Zayn go to his meeting thingie. I put on a red and black checkered crop top, some baggy grey joggers and my pink trainers. Time for exercise. As much as I hated it, I would look like a gorilla without it. I just eat, okay?

When I got into the kitchen I decided to just have a breakfast bar, grabbing one out of the draw, instead of the usual cereal set up on the kitchen counter.
Straight to the treadmill it is! I put capital radio on and started running to the Ellie Goulding song Burn.

I ran for about an hour before I decided to go down to the gym and deal with some weights, I hadn't been there for a while so I dug out my pass and grabbed some change before leaving. I didn't know what time Zayn would be back so I didn't bother with leaving a note. Neither did he to be honest.

ZAYN'S POV

Great. Carly would definitely be up by now and she still hasn't texted me.

Friendzoned.

I don't know why I'm so nervous, I would probably be out of her flat by tomorrow. Yet I felt like we would keep in touch. Well I've ruined that now anyway, and tonight's gonna be awkward. There's probably a reason why she never answered me in the first place. I had to stop thinking about her as Niall suddenly shouted out.
"I'VE GOT IT!" We'd been working on the chorus for our new single for a while and it was becoming quite draining. I had a glimmer of hope we had something when Niall started to sing what he had written down.

I didn't hear the last part as he stopped singing while we all bundled on top of him. He had it, that was our next single complete.
Story of my life =tick!

"You are the man!" Harry shouted out as we allowed him space.
"It wasn't hard lads, honestly, I'm naturally talented." A smirk appeared on Niall's face as he finished his sentance. He was right though, he's a great songwriter.
"Right boys," Louis began, "Back to mine? A celebration is in order." I honestly don't think we've ever been so excited over a song.
"I don't know if I can, ya know.." I said quickly bursting the bubble.
"Course you can, you made it today right?" Liam added in. He was right but I wanted to get back to Carly.
"Nah boys, I might have to pass. Next time though." I pointed at each of them and raised my eyebrows waiting for an answer.
"Okay mate you get back to your girlfriend." I gave Harry the death glare but didn't stay to have a go at him. I just wanted to get back.

I got to the flat at about five so I was earlier than I thought I'd be, hopefully Carly's in. I walked in the front as I had her keys and heard the sound of Connor Maynard blaring out of the speakers. Guess she was in.
"Hey." She said as she looked up and waved to me.
"Hey, do much today?" I asked as I went into the kitchen to check if the note was there. Yep.
"Nah, just went gym and been listening to music. Day off work." she winked at me and i couldn't help but laugh at the way she spends her days off.
"Okay okay," I replied, "So...can we talk? Without music." I cut her off before she answered my first question. She nodded and turned the music off as I sat next to her.
"So, did you see my note?" I asked, hoping she'd say no.
"No? What note?" she looked at me confused.
"Don't worry," I replied relief washing over me, "I'll just tell you."
