I wake up in a cold room and broken glass surrounding me. I try to get up, but I am restrained to a cold metal table. I look around to find nobody and then I look over to my side and find two men lying on the floor knives stabbed into their eye sockets. I cringe and look at my arms sprayed with blood and I slowly slip them out of the leather straps restraining them. The blood makes it easier to slip my arm through this narrow opening. When I get my arms out, I do my feet too and I get off the metal table.
At first I am dizzy and confused at where the hell I am and then I see the doctors on the ground again and and a flood of memories rush through my brain. I remember now I was rushed into this place with a bag over my head and lots of screaming people. I knew it was some sort of doctor's office by the unmistakeable smell of alcohol patches. I remember being pushed down on the cold metal table and them taking off the bag and shining a bright white light into my eyes and then I feel a pinch in the side of my arm and everything goes black. Well, anyways, that's the last thing I can remember right now. I mean, I can't even remember my name. When I get out the door, my answer to my last question was solved and supposedly my name is Katy Pendez. I shake my head confused because the name doesn't ring any bells.
I continue on down the hallway of this hospital. It's empty and there is no movement except the occasional flicker of a light. Most of the lights are off, some even dangling from the roof and I wonder just what kind of person could have done this. I decide to look for an exit and I started to follow the path of exit signs when out of nowhere, as I turn the corner something is crawling on the floor covered in blood. I stagger back behind the wall I just came out of and cover my mouth at what I saw. Peeking around the corner to see the creature, I realize it is a human. I look at it confused, but there can't be anybody could survive being torn in half. I start to walk towards it when I hear a bang from behind me and I slowly turn around to become face to face with this horrible disfigured human with blood gurgling out from its deformed lips. I start to run and when I turn the corner, I see a whole herd of them behind the first one all of them different and more demented from the last.
I scream and head for the door that reads in big green letters "EXIT." I push myself forward hearing my own breathing and pumping my arms as fast as I can go. I run into the door I realize it's locked, but there isn't time to turn back because these things are gaining on me and fast, so I open the nearest door and lock myself in there by putting a bookshelf in front of the door. I know that won't hold them for long.
I look around but the room is too dark to see anything so I look at the bookshelf and find a flashlight. I turn it on and the warm light filled the room. The light falls on a dark oak door and I start to walk towards it when I hear a bang from behind me again and I don't even turn around this time I just run for the door and lock it behind me.
When the dust settles in this new room I see rows and rows of people's medical history. I walk down each aisle trying to find and exit but instead I end up just smelling the old papers throughout the office. Some papers date back to the 1800 which I found weird because why keep such old documents. I look through them and I find my name towards the very back. I shakily then read the letters on the page and to my surprise I shouldn't be alive because I was born December 19 1802. I stare at the musty old paper for some time trying to figure out what is happening. But I only come up with more questions for myself. Like written on this old withered paper it says I'm 14 years old but by this year I should rightfully be 90. I gasp at how much I've missed and a sort of dizziness take over me. I then suddenly I have another flashback out of nowhere and I see a little boy, a little boy holding my hand and we are walking to a lake. I cringe did I really have a brother or was this my friend at this point I am so confused. I see the little boy let go of my hand then and walking into the lake. When you could only see his head above the water I scream for him and he slowly turns around and then he is gone.

I wake up in a daze and look around, there are papers on the floor from me a moment ago and I start to get off the floor and I realize I must of fallen asleep due to the fact that there is a pool of drool. I jump back up to my feet and shake my head and the only thing I can think about is the little boy. All my memories are coming back now slowly but surely. I see another door when I turn around by the next shelf of files and I head for it. I open it quietly not to disturb anything that may be out there lurking about. The coast is clear right now and I take my first step out and still nothing. So I continue on with my search with finding an exit. But something shiny catches my eye. I slowly walk to the glistening gold object. When I get closer I realize it is attached to this man's body. He looks no older than 20 and he is wearing a lab coat and dark rimmed glasses. I bend down beside the body and pick the object up out of the man's cold grasp. I turn it over in my hand and it reads Katy and I wonder if it was mine. I turn it over in my hands a few times and then I dropped it, but when it dropped the gold pendent broke open and inside was the picture of the boy in my memory, I pick it up to get a better look. The boy in the picture is named Christopher and then it says he is nine years old. Christopher had dark brown hair and blue eyes almost like me except I had emerald green eyes. I touch the picture and a tear slips through my eye. I am almost shocked that I am crying if I never knew this boy, but this boy drowned I know this from my memory. But I cry for the simple fact that I would never know if he was my brother or even my best friend, either way I know I lost something important in my life.
I put the gold locket in my dress pocket and I begin to stand up and I hear a deep kind of growl. I look down at where I was just sitting and the man's body begins to move. I start to back away slowly and he starts to stop for a while as I'm going out of view. Then like it was all just a mirage he gets up and starts running for me. I start to run down the white corridor halls and then I turn the corner only to find my old friends from an hour ago and I run left instead of to the right. I run for what seems like hours before I see a door that is open and surprisingly has a light on in it. I run straight for the door at the fastest speed I could manage right now. I get to the door only to have it slam in my face. I turn around and find the mangled messes almost to me. I scream to whoever is on the other side of the door, "Please let me in!" I say in a shaking voice almost crying. I turn around and they are only two feet from me when the door opens and somebody pulls me inside locking the door after me.
